How does the game fit the theme?
Borrowed Skin is built around the theme “Trust No One.” Trapped inside a failing military bunker, the player must question each survivor’s story, piece together conflicting evidence, and decide whom to trust before the lights go out. Every decision affects who survives and which ending is reached. Even the protagonist’s own memories may not be trustworthy.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The game was built using Godot Engine and Audiokinetic Wwise with its Godot integration. We used Tiny Texture Pack 2 by Screaming Brain Studios, along with the Pixelify Sans and Press Start 2P fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. All other game-specific code, writing, characters, models, props, environments, UI, visual effects, music, sound effects, voice acting, and artwork were created by our team during the jam.

How many people worked on the game?

It's pretty much a text adventure in a 3d environment. Still, an enjoyable experience. Good visuals. Impressive that you managed to coordinate a 12 people team in one week.

Very interesting game! Really liked all the dynamics at play here and the visuals are amazing. Played it on stream today and got to the Trust No One ending.

The game is super well paced! I'm not a typical narrative enjoyer. But your game had such an intriguing premise and the music is so well done! It kept me  going on and on just to find out who was the killer. Well done!!! I completed it and reached the good ending!!

This is excellent. Gripping story, polished visuals (I love how you made the characters), good sound design. You got it all.

This was almost a full game. You could probably charge money for it

The game was absolutely amazing! Everything was great — the art, the style, the sound design, the story, everything! I really enjoyed it. Congratulations!🙏☺️

That was great—the graphics, the horror atmosphere, and the dialogue. It was a fantastic piece of work, all done in just one week!

This is such an amazing entry, and very polished too!! The graphics were stunning and the story was engaging. I do wish there was a bit more interaction other than dialogue, but that's a minor complaint because everything else was very impressive! Good job!!

this was awesome, genuinely felt like i was playing an old ps2 game. i loved the visuals and the writing. was not surprised to see 12 people worked on this, its insanely polished for a week!

Yes we are very lucky as a handful of us worked together in gmtk jam (we had a team of over 60 for that one!). thank you for your kind comment!

Really enjoyed this one, the atmosphere and sound design are probably the best part and it actually made me feel tense in some moments. I got a bit confused a few times on what I had to do next, so maybe some clearer feedback would help, but overall it feels really polished for a jam game and the theme works really well.

Hello if your stuck on what to do you can see your tasks on your tablet!
Glad you enjoyed the game!

I loved the story concept. It was really well put together and the use of breathing helped a lot with the immersion. I would love to see the concept on a larger scale. So far it was really fun and very well made. I loved the UI and the little quest tracker as I played while I was working and had to multitask. This enabled me to be able to find where I left off and resume.
Overall, I would love to see the game done on a larger scale. Detective style games with a monster are a very untapped horror genre to me. I feel like I haven't gotten enough of a chance to play more like this.
I would have loved to see the monster form of the enemy.

The game environment reminded me of Desolate or Metro

We are really glad to see that you loved the game. This jam has brought us together as and we are planning to work together in the future. In regards to seeing the parasite definitely look forward to the future, we didn't want to commit to showing the monster this jam as we like to spend time to get it just right, for it to horrify the audience and fit the tone.

Nailed the theme, impressive polish, great visuals, atmosphere, and execution. I feel like there was enough time for the tension to build and make the payoff satisfying.

u guys made the game look insanely well I'm jealous, I'm such a big fan of the vibe, good job

Developer(+2)

thank you glad you enjoyed, we are super proud that we were able to achieve the right vibe/tone!

Your story game looks really cool. The setting feels very dreadful and fits the theme well. I also like the visual style, including the 3D in-game scenes, pixel-style UI, and the little idle animations and poses each character has.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm so glad that people are noticing the talent of the art department every single one of them has been great to work with!

Wow. We’re looking at your project and how beautifully everything is put together, and it’s definitely broadening our horizons. Hopefully, one day we’ll be able to deliver something this polished ourselves
