So the fact that developer has a blue face offends me much.

But this game is a 10/10, the whole team deserves a dinner paid by the blue face dude.

My artist is on the other side of earth from me bro 😭 I can't pay for his ticket

Wow, this is so polished for a game jam. really impressed - it plays really well.

Thought it was broken at first due to loading bar hanging but i toughed it out and it was WELL worth it. I'd have given 4 stars for enjoyment because of the lag but DAMN well worth it dude SO FUN

THANK YOU FOR GETTING PAST THE FIRST MIN OF SHADER PRELOADING!

WORTH EVERY SECOND

Submitted(+1)

Insanely well done for 4 days. Its so good I don’t even have much to say. Just incredible work.

Submitted(+1)

genuinely how did you get this done in 4 days 😭 everything, from the gameplay, the art, the dynamic music too, was so well made, your team are all so talented! i really wish godot fixed the lag in web builds because this is genuinely perfect

Developer

Thank you so much! We did it in 4 days by sacrificing our soul to Mark Brown

I wish we could fix the lag 😭
Didn't have time to test web builds before last hour

Countdown being in the weapons, allowing players to quickly sift through a wide range of unique weapons quickly was a cool mechanic. Weapon swapping allowed non-comitial experiment with different weapon types, allowing for exploring the games mechanics more.

Art was nice, intro art was amazing and polished.
There was some lag/latency to the game

Developer(+1)

thx for the feedback!
The lag should go away after the first minute of playing, since it's mostly because of shader compilation.

Really cool game would love to see the other bosses but I keep dying is there a way to heal?

Developer

No way to heal, currently. Really wanted to add it, but ran out of time haha

Submitted(+1)

Pretty good in general! I only wish there was a way to heal since I usually play VERY high risk in games lol

Submitted(+1)

The combat felt really nice and juicy! And the art was really cute! Well done!!

Submitted(+1)

The visuals are insane! I love them! I love the weapon artworks, I love the intro storyline! Really cool! The gameplay feels weaker compared to it, I was immediately thinking I want weapon based combos in this game a lot of the weapons looked so nice but only the spear/lance types really felt fitting, especially some of the special multi hit ones, since for lances and spears it makes sense to hnave no real combos and have this distance based “one hit only combo” but for the others a combo system or something feels like is missing! Really good work though! :3

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the comment! If we had time we def would've added more weapon combos. Only axes have real "combos", currently.

Developer(+1)

I'm actually glad someone pointed out the weapon art work cuz i spent majority on the jam just making those T^T

Submitted(+1)

Truly excellent. The level of polish is incredible in such a short time. Great job!

Ayo! This game deserves more ratings! LET'S UP THOSE NUMBERS!!!
One of my favorite entries so far! The amount of weapons got me FLABBERGASTED, sounds are neat and Xilurus art is amazing! Great job!

and also, #SpearGang forever.

Developer(+2)

I put Xilurus into my basement and forced him to draw until the jam ended. WORTH!

Can confirm. We locked Frovio in the attic .

Developer(+1)

Yoo! Thanks for rating! I loved your game too and experiencing it with the whole team in chat was so much fun :^D

Submitted(+2)

Amazing that this was made in just 4 days

Developer(+1)

Our lovely dev and artist really cooked

This was such a fun game--so polished! Unfortunately, the lag made this really hard to play with such a fast-paced game. Love the art and music!

Developer(+1)

Hi, sorry to hear that it was too laggy for you. Most machines should have little problem running it after the initial part of the run. This was because our shader precompilation was completely broken before posting XD

Submitted(+1)

How just how, i was proud of what i made and then i came across this insanity of a game in just 4 days???? the juice, gameplay, visuals all felt extremely polished lovely stuff

Submitted(+2)

Wow! As soon as I heard this concept, live, I was like. Ooooooh! Interesting. The fact that this game starts out laggy BUT doesn't really lag from there is INCREDIBLE considering the time you had and the sheer amount of stuff in here. I just love how everything sort of melds together to add to the initial premise of "you got a weapon for a bit". The crumbling arena means that some weapons are gonna go before you get to them, the upgrades caring about what type of weapon - so you can have a sword-favoured run and a spear-favoured run.

One thing, I kept thinking I had to dash over to each platform because of the gap between them. Felt strange to stand on a gap between platforms, especially when part of the game is them falling

But that little nitpick is to stop me gushing too much about the rest.

Great game! Great experience! Thank you!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your kind words! After observing for a while, I completely agree with you about the gap part haha.

Submitted(+1)

U cooked Xilurus I watched your stream! the artwork is peak! also I am the Gerbil kid!

Search up Left Behind! PLS

Submitted(+1)

Veryyyy polished game, the weapons all feel unique and I like the upgrades a lot. I personally find the upgrade system confusing at first (a little circle showing the charge just above the statue would have been great). I like the art for the enemies and the weapons a lot but not so much the environement but at least it isn't distracting. I also think that it is a bit too easy to fall beause of the weaopns moving you when attacking. But other than that I had a great time !

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your honest review! Yeah part of the fun we envisioned was players might actually fall down when using lance or some spears, that why weapons feel unique as well! Hope you enjoyed~

This looks like a finished mobile game. Art and general atmosphere is very well done.
