How many ideas does this game have!? I’m impressed how every level succeed to present something new and interesting. They’re never difficult, but always satisfying, and they all focus on a clever idea. It’s a solid puzzle design! I also love the retro vibe, both for the visuals and the music. It was a blast to play!
Just the sort of thing you'd expect from a platformer. A core idea, then remixed, then reversed and added onto some more! Good stuff
the movement feels really solid the, countdown seemed super generic at first until you started building on it with shrinking and growing platforms, the bird guys and the different switches. Overall I found it a really good and fun game a little on the easier side but I get why it's that way.
WOW, this is one of the few games I've ever really enjoyed.
Hands down one of the best platformers so far! I feel like you really pushed it a bit further than other entries with similar ideas. Simple core idea, expanded with interesting concepts. The art style makes it distinct as well from many similar types of games that are on the market. Well done!
This was one of the best games I have played for this jam so far. The difficulty curve felt very natural, the introduction of each mechanic was very intuitive and easy to understand, and it was fun all the way through! This is very impressive for a four day game gam. Seriously well done!!
Creativity 5/5
As the theme is "Countdown", naturally a lot of games used the concept of the time to their games. However, you used time in the most sofisticated way I've ever seen so far. Tremendous.
Game Desing 5/5
Pal, your level design skills is out of this world. I mean, really. The way you introduced the mechanics of the game is so natural... and after that, you extracted a lot of your mechanics.
Artsyle 5/5
Very charming. Looked a lot of the 8bit era. The bunny is so cute... I missed a bit of variation of the tiles, but, come on it's a game jam. Awesome work.
OST 5/5
I could play the whole game without getting tired of it. Honestly, awesome work, pal.
Overall 5/5
I have a great time playing this one. If your game does not make to the video, there is no god in this world... Are ya planning to follow up with this title? I'd buy a steam version. Maybe you could add a collectable through the levels... like a strawberry in celeste. And some of them could be time perfect to make it interesting.
I like the collectable idea... and a full game version might happen! I guess it just depends on if we can come up with enough ideas for new stage gimmicks to make a decently sized set of levels... the only pre-existing ideas that were left on the cutting room floor are "blocks that are only solid on odd/even numbers" and "block that speeds up time that only exists for one specific EX level"
I like your games
If only i could write comments like you guys make games, what a awesome work!
The only very minor thing i would point out is the lack of mouse control in the main menu that then appears in the settings page, oh and also the fact that there's not enough people rating this game!
thank you! to be completely honest, the title screen menu was supposed to also have mouse controls but I just forgot to add it in this build because the menu stuff was being made around 4 AM as we were scrambling to get things done before the deadline... oops. ideally a post-jam build would have keyboard/gamepad support for the other menus, too :)
The best game I played on the JAM so far!
Positive points:
- EVERYTHING! Good pixel art, level design, music, concept, character design...
Negative points:
- It ends :(((
AMAZING game, congrats!!!!
This is 100% going to be on the top 20s, and will be featured in the video. Insane amount of puzzle mechanics, very fun controls, great idea and use of theme, and I don't even like puzzle games that much. Well done!
This is so good it needs more people playing it! There are many mechanics that are all interesting, different worlds each with their own music and their own assets. The controls are smooth and responsive.
My only "complaint" was that it was a bit too easy, but the final level and the two EX levels were pretty challenging
even that complaint is good to hear! I tried to balance the difficulty so that anyone could make it to the end, even if they aren't great at platformers :)
This might be my favorite game so far!
The many different ways to interact with the timer were well put together.
On the artistic side, the art style is really beautiful, and the accompanying OST is great.
Good game with really nice pixel art and a nice background song. Some really creative level design and interpretation of the theme, i like how the countdown isn't just a set thing where it only ticks down, but the player can manipulate it in various ways. great game
Really amazing, my favorite game of the jam that I've played so far! I love the dual purpose mechanic of the timer and the interactions with the world, and in terms of mechanics, the game kept giving and giving, with time reversal, time slowing, etc, and then mixing them up and bringing things together. Fantastic!
I was already impressed with your countdown-use when we needed to go back and forth, then I saw the numbered blocks and thought it was cooler. Nice retro art style too :)
This is the best game I ever played in my whole life
