How did you incorporate the theme "UNSTABLE"?
SWAY makes instability both physical and strategic. You are responsible for a bridge during an increasingly severe storm, while wind, rain and heavy traffic continually threaten its structural stability. Keeping the bridge open moves more vehicles across, but also adds stress when the structure is already vulnerable. Supports, traffic control and timing can hold the bridge together — or one bad decision can push it past the point of recovery. The bridge is literally unstable, and so is the balance between keeping people moving and keeping it standing.

its very enjoyable and unique game.
An interesting concept, and visually very well executed. Good work!
Unique game idea that fits the jam theme super well! Great job!
Super unique and challenging you did ana amazing job with this game I really enjoyed it!
glad the difficulty landed well, i wanted it to feel like you're barely keeping things together rather than just watching traffic go past. thanks for giving it a proper run
Loved this game so much. Super simple premise that is very satisfying to execute. Attractive art style. Very impressive for a game jam game! Well done.
I'd love to write the music and do the sounds for one of your games in the future. Really enjoyed your work.
Check out my game if you get a chance 😊.
i was going for something much calmer visually than ONE REACTOR even though the bridge itself gets pretty stressful later. i'll remember the music offer thanks for the comment I appreciate it
Lovely! it’s a really chil game. love the atmosphere. the expected playtime being 12 minutes is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much. it actually made me quit earlier than I would have just because I knew I won’t be lasting the entire timer. rating audio here is a bit confusing because the silence is a great artistic choice but it’s also.. nothing.. if that makes sense, but don’t worry I gochu. overall i enjoyed my time on this!
yeah 12 minutes is probably asking too much, especially in a jam where everyone has a pile of games to get through. fair point
and the silence was intentional so i get exactly what you mean with the audio rating. wanted the storm/bridge itself to carry most of the atmosphere instead of having music constantly playing
Really fun, spent a lot of time on this.
sounds like it did its job then. this one's pretty simple on paper but i wanted the actual run to keep pulling you in once traffic and damage start stacking up
The game looks and sounds beautiful. Great moody atmosphere. Though I found it a little boring, I thought if you could control the barrier individually, or you had some vehicles come in faster or with forced priority it would have added to the stakes. I think the runs are too long, under 10 minutes would have felt better. I didn't notice the shop until later (i played full screen). But all of this to say, I think it has potential, the idea is original. Beautiful interface and feedback, it feels great.
this is really useful feedback. individual barriers and forced-priority vehicles could definitely create more actual decisions instead of mostly reacting to whatever arrives
also agreed on the run length, i've heard that a few times now. and yeah the shop being easy to miss in fullscreen is something i should've caught
Super nice visuals!
thanks, spent a lot of time trying to keep the visuals simple without making the whole thing look empty. nice to know that part worked
Managing structural load while balancing traffic tolls creates such an intense rush! Dragging supports on the fly while watching heavy vehicles cross is super satisfying. Amazing job! [Rated]
that's pretty much the exact loop i wanted, especially when a heavy vehicle shows up at the worst possible time and suddenly you're dragging supports around trying to save everything
glad it came across
Haha yes! That panic when a heavy vehicle appears out of nowhere is absolute gold! You nailed that dynamic perfectly If you get a chance and feel like checking out my game too, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! Thanks again and great job!
This was fantastic to play! I'm not usually a fan of resource management games but this was addicting to play. It was both stressful and oddly calming. Really enjoyed this one, great job!
stressful and calming at the same time was basically the target, weirdly enough
i didn't want it to feel like constant panic, more like you're quietly managing things until the bridge suddenly gives you a reason not to be quiet anymore
The game is really good man
I like how you used the theme and its classic and addictive
I really love the game :)))
appreciate it man. i went pretty literal with "unstable" here but tried to make the instability matter to the decisions instead of just having a bridge wobble around
Gotta love a good bridge crossing game. This does a very good job of capturing that feeling of managing resources and trying to reinforce the bridge. Some items were hard to tell how to use. Main issue I had was just understanding the interface at first. But got fairly far into the game before collapse! good stuff
yeah the interface is probably the roughest part when you first open it. there's a decent amount sitting there without much explanation
getting fairly far before the collapse is still a win though, especially on a first run
I’ve always loved “Bridge Constructor”-style games. I really liked your game. I liked that it’s physics-based. Because I think games of this type feel incomplete without physics. Every game needs to have its own style. Good job. (Rated)
same reason i wanted physics in it. if the bridge just used some hidden health number i think half the point would disappear
actually seeing it bend and knowing you caused that makes the whole thing work a lot better
I really like it, definitely a nice take on the theme. The art style is simple but it fits the game very well. It's kind of stressful when a heavy vehicle drives through for the first time and the bridge starts bending, but at the same time it has a cozy vibe to it.
that first heavy vehicle was meant to be the "oh wait this bridge can actually move" moment
glad the cozy side still came through too. i didn't want the storm to turn the whole thing into pure panic
Fun game. I love the idea. Nice work!
thanks, the concept was basically the first thing i had and most of the game grew out of trying to make that one bridge interesting for an entire run
Very nice concept, I like it. Not easy game, close enough of challenge, great
good to hear the challenge wasn't too far in either direction. i wanted it to take a bit of attention without turning the first few minutes into instant bridge collapse
