SWEET AND SAVOURY IS A FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT FOOD COMBINATION AND I WOULD RATHER BE THROWN INTO THE OCEAN BEFORE I LET ANY CLIENT OF MINE GO DOWN FOR THE MOST SIMPLE OF LIFES PLEASURES THAT IS PINEAPPLE ON TOP OF PIZZA.
Fun game, made me laugh. Nice work both!
I live in a world where Hawaiian pizza is a crime, and I have to try to pretend I agree it makes perfect sense that pizza can't have sweet things in it when fries with ketchup, orange chicken, bbq pork, california rolls, and chips and salsa all combine sweet and salty/savory JUST FINE, and NO ONE EVER SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT IT. And I just smile and nod my head lest they suspect me and I am publicly executed. I am a criminal in disguise. parading about among the masses undetected. I live every day in fear that one day, someone will see me adding canned pineapple to my pizza in the privacy of my own home through a gap in the curtains. My hair is turning gray for all the time I worry...
what was I talking about again? oh yeah. good game, i liked the game.
Very funny concept, and alright execution. I vehemently disagree with the pineapple thing. If it's their pizza, why does it matter? There was no evidence that the pizza was to be shared. The same goes for the steak. I don't think it's a crime to ruin your own meal.
Am I just dumb, or does "Fingerprints on the last square match the defendant. The square itself is missing." not make any sense?
That was adorable. There is one verdict I wish to appeal, but in the interests of keeping the comments civil I'll refrain from identifying it. Loved the animation for the star.
Great concept and humour. If you weren't constricted by game jam time pressures it would be cool to have multiple "exhibits" so not all information is in one place.
If only people were forced to play your game before they were let loose into public settings life might not be so exhausting!
I really enjoyed the flavor of the writing in the reports. The satirical "official legal documents" speech is really well done and fun to read!
The fact there's a correct choice expected is a bit of a missed opportunity I think to have a "less gamey" outcome to the cases. Also in the context of the premise I found it a bit odd that the 'correctness' of a judgement is not (not always) determined by wether the behavior negatively affected other people and rather on if the defendants had what is generally considered bad taste in a way that affected only them.
Very cute game! Gameplay is very simple but it does its job, the cases are funny to read and art and music is catchy. Liked it!
I am not sure how I feel about the pineapple on pizza verdict, but I know this is a contentious topic so I'll keep quiet for now.
This was great though, loved how relatable all of the offences were, the humour for this entry is fantastic!
Great work
Pretty original idea and good use of the theme. I'd like to hear some of the sentences that come down for the really brutal crimes like microwaving fish at work. Thanks for making this.
I got 9 cases right! I love your interpretation of the ‘criminal charge’ theme. Some of the cases genuinely made me laugh. The art and music are also nice
