How does the game fit the theme?
In the story you are given choices on whom to trust and the only way of surviving is trusting no one, 3 different endings and one where you live.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The player art was downloaded from itch.

Really cool game. I think the dialogue and environment were interesting, and the game definitely fits the theme. Good work!
Hey just played your game and got the 3 endings. Some feedback:
It seems like there's a lot of world building that you've done and it's promising to see how it will reveal itself through your characters, the details behind Dammerhafen, and what the crows mean and whatnot. That being said, it is very simple right now and there isn't much of a game to it I'm able to critique. I'd consider thinking what overall story you're trying to tell and pique the player's curiosity that way.
Minor bug: some of the text scrolls too fast like the ending explanations
Probably my biggest gripe with this game is music/sfx itself, as just pressing continue on dialogue was way too loud and the balancing was a bit off. Gameplay wise, there wasn't as much considering this was more of a choice based narrative, but it's great that gaming medium does offer all varieties of expression to people. I would recommend perhaps starting with a bit stronger premise as there felt no reason for character's venture into a graveyard. Ah as well my screen was more extended, so it showed environment what I suppose was from intended player's view and clearly saw cut off fog. Overall, still great effort especially considering a solo dev experience!
The game is a lot of fun and the game idea is very good.
Great narrative! My only nitpick is that when I get to the statue the dialogue passes by itself (without me clicking E) and I missed some dialogue. However, loved the story! But was confused on the ending where I say I don't trust the girl, but still go to the statue. What should I do after that? I managed to get to the church after that and that ending played.
was not expecting a jumpscare haha
Wasnt sure what to expect judging from the cover but tis a pretty fun little story :D kinda looks like a rpg maker game somewhat! Nice work! Full marks <3
(Our game is still in need of a few ratings so if you could take the time that would be appreciated <3)
Done!
Very nice game.
I would fix the audio when getting to the church and the bells are ringing its a bit much haha
but I like the story and the atmosphere. Very nice!
I somehow got lost in the begging in the foggy graveyard lol but the story I got a bit invested in, I think this gamejam did a goodjob bringing out some good stories for devs
I think a little bit more deliberation on what information is revealed when might've been a big help, I think the pacing of this is pretty off for a narrative-driven game. I also think the audio was abrasive in some parts where it didn't need to be, sometimes it's warranted like in the horror-y bits but the sound for advancing dialogue, for example, is really unpleasant and probably could've just used some better EQ or something. The visual style is pretty nice! I thought the setpieces were nicely done and the fog shader was neat and fit the vibes nicely. Overall cool work
Agreed! That's the feedback I had in mind.
really cool narrative game!
The visual is great, and the atmosphere is well built. It is a solid narrative game.
This narrative game nails the creepy atmosphere with great fog effects, spooky audio, and a story with multiple endings that actually fits the jam theme. A solid and pulish entry! 5/5
Fantastic,One of the best polished game played in this Jam.Sticked to the theme point .Storywise it's great , sticked to the theme point with 3 different endings .Suggestions is it improving the art and visual as the storyline is good as it .
im impressed with someone who make games with different ending and such interesting story, keep it up man
I always like narrative based games with different endings so this is a very pleasant experience for me personally aside that the gameplay is smooth, the mechanics works well for me and the storyline is very cool and unique ! Love the concept of your game, great work mate !...I'd love if you check out my game too !
I like that it's a narrative game that the player can walk around in. I think it's a different take from the usual visual novels. I also feel that the story could have been developed a bit more, giving more depth and background for each of the characters. I like that there's multiple endings for player to explore and revealing that there are 3 endings to explore encourages players to replay the game to uncover all endings. There's one thing I feel is a bit off putting is the sfx used for the dialogue, I feel it can be a bit better.
I liked the narrative, even though I think it could be developed a little further, and I absolutely loved the immersive 2D pixel art and the overall atmosphere!
Just be careful with some of the typos. I also noticed that the dialogue sometimes goes way too fast, which makes it difficult to read everything in time.
I really liked the mechanic of being able to wander around and explore freely. It actually kinda reminded me of Pokémon, which I really enjoyed! However, I sometimes got stuck, and it felt like there might have been a few bugs. There were also moments when I wasn't really sure where I was supposed to go next, especially when the characters started talking about the church.
One other thing I noticed was the scale of the church. It didn't really seem proportional to the other buildings and elements in the game, so it stood out a little compared to the rest of the environment.
After the church event, I had no idea where to go or what to do next, despite wandering around the map several times trying to figure it out. The girl was also still there even though she had supposedly been taken away, so I wasn't really sure what was happening there or whether it was a bug.
Overall, though, I really enjoyed the narrative, exploration, and pixel-art atmosphere!
After the church scene you were supposed to take one step forward and that would trigger the next scene but yeah I guess I ill make it more obvious next time. Thanks for the feedback.
Veeeeerrrryyy spoopy 0_o the sounds were very creepy. loved how you incorporated the game jam theme and the artwork was amazing. Great work!
Very spooky atmosphere, having multiple endings was a very good idea
