How does the game fit the theme?
No. is short for number. In this game you have to trust number one. It is word for word exactly the theme.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I made every single thing.

How many people worked on the game?

The interpretation of the theme is a fresh gust of wind for sure. Sadly the rounds are very short and the gameplay is simply β€žmake the largest numberβ€œ. One or two more mechanics would have upgraded the game a lot.

Developer

There is another mechanic, If You get the card 1 you can increase you multiplier making everything bigger. Also only having 2 round's is a bug.

It's a nice game that could be fun for sure with more balancing.
I always ended up with a problematic - that ended my game. It's super fun and have to be better at math!

Simple, but fun :)

I think i somehow discovered a bug, where my high score goes infinitly up haha.

Developer

haha

For me it just restarts to early to really get into it, but the core concept with having a Math problem and rearranging the Numbers to benefit you to get a higher score is great. It would also be cool if the numbers could be taken out if you decide against that position

its simple but is good

really close to being fun, I liked the core idea. choosing between pushing your score up or down has a nice risk reward feel, but right now the game ending after two rounds makes it hard to get into any real flow. the random equations also swing a lot, so sometimes you get a good run and sometimes it just drops you to zero. the music is great though and the presentation is clean. with more rounds and a clearer loop this could become a strong little puzzle card game. (pls play my game)

I think the game idea is really close to being pretty fun.  I was intrigued by the idea of having to choose between maximizing or minimizing my score, with a high risk -> high reward thing going on.  But I'm not sure it's executed correctly in its current form with only two rounds and I didn't see the multiplier do anything?  Regardless, good work!

As others said it is a bit confusing why the game ends after two rounds. I would guess that there is a bug causing that, but could be wrong either way i'd love to play more. The music on repeat is a bit much but i like the vibes =) it also seemed balatro inspired which i liked. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing and yes it is a bug that causes it to end so abruptly, It is supposed to last ten rounds but It is to late to fix that.

You have 48 hours post submission to fix bugs πŸ™‚

Music was good for a couple moments, and gameplay could be there, main problem is that it restarts after two rounds. Personally on the second run I got numbs and equations that just equaled out to zero. lmao

The game restarts after 2 rounds and the randomly generated equations can be really good or bad

absalutely fire music tho :)

I haven't seen any game interpret no one as number one. Very creative!

Clever subversion with the No. = Number, but for some reason the game ends after 2 rounds. If that's intended then the equations being random results in getting random scores, which is pretty unfun. If there's supposed to be no turn limit, then the fastest way to play is to just play cards randomly

Fun game to play. It made me think a lot. The gameplay loop made me want to just keep on playing!

Game is very polished, but very quickly gets boring.

Great art, UI, music and sound effects!

Unique take on the game jam theme!

The game keeps restarting every two rounds - is it supposed to do that, or is it a bug?

Same here

If you're having trouble you can always read the description of the game. I provided instructions there.
