How does the game fit the theme?
The little blotches you hire to help you finish your painting sometimes turn on you. It could be any one of them. It could be all of them. I wouldn't trust any of them, honestly.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Hi, I completed your game and it relaxed me from my day. It's very satisfying to see this little world come live with colors. The music, art and gameplay are really nice :)

I was just a bit annoyed by the dialogues :

- it's difficult to read them while playing, they're sometimes too fast

- some bits of dialogue/info re-pop too often

- the dialogues cover the game area, when you're after a rogue it's frustrating.

It somehow broke the immersion for me but apart from that, again, it's a very good game even for people who are not fond of incremental games (I usually don't like those a lot).

Thanks! I do think the only common critique I'm getting is related to the dialog boxes. I'm going to brainstorm what I can come up with to get that cleaned up for sure. Glad you enjoyed it otherwise!

Hahaha tbh I think you'll be among the winners, your game (and another one) really stand out of the rest in terms of art and gameplay. As shown by the number of reviews you got in comparison to other games ;)

The dialogues are a minor thing I believe.

Good game feel, good audio and it was pretty fun!

Couldn't follow the narrative but I loved the visuals! Clicking felt and SOUDED really good, but I think the text boxes were too intrusive by being in the middle of the action

Developer

Yeah, I'm used to RTS like hint boxes, so I went with those. I didn't know if I wanted to try the big text boxes of JRPGs or visual novels. I might try them out and see how it looks.  Thanks for playing!

The visuals and sound were astounding, loved the art, VFX and how the colors were slowly added, but the gameplay didn't captivate me. Nice work.

my girlfriend loved this, the sound design RULED

I colored everything. Great incremental, I really enjoyed playing it

Now this is proper innovation, great idea for an incremental. The presentation is simple but very well done. Honestly, the ‘theme’ of the blotches going rogue didn’t really sit well with me, but I get it. However, I would prefer a more cozy experince.

good game but the only problem is the narrator is a bit to quick to read

Developer

Yeah, I've got to figure out a better way. I'm used to tool tips on an RTS, and just went that route. Maybe I'll see how it looks if I do it more like a JRPG or visual novel's chat? Just wanted something more immersive than a UI chat. And I actually slowed him down, but I guess not enough. Thanks for playing!

This is a very lovely incremental game! the art style and gameplay is very polished. at first the trust no one twist wasn't clear, but the story picks it up nicely!

Really cute game, the theme for me was a little weak but i found it really enjoyable still!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, it's hard to get the theme into an incremental, so I could only do it through story, and it really only catches on if you get any of the endings (or all of them). Up until then, it's mostly just the blotches going rogue and the words they say or the guide says. Thanks for playing!

Love your game. We both went for the incremental game, but you had a cool, different approach.

Neat idle game I liked that the updrade were tied to the main scene instead of being menu upgrade, at some point getter rarer ink took a long time otherwise fun game!

This is a really cool game! At first, I didn’t understand how the game relates to the jam theme, but when the slugs started clearing the location, I got it. The game is simple, but interesting
