How does the game fit the theme?
You can only trust what you see in your scanner beam.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I reused some audio code from my earlier projects. The rest is vanilla javascript written from scratch.

Had to go check the page for the controls but once I figured out what to do I found it interesting. Feels quite nice to play, and I enjoyed the loop of scanning and lining up traveling to the green dots.
This was fun! I was suspicious about the click-to-move controls, but that actually felt really good. I love how the acceleration varies with the distance. Zipping around collecting stuff was really fun. The way the beamwidth changes also feels really intuitive. Good work!
Echoing the same feedback in a few of the other comments, enjoyed it but I just wanted more! If the red circles became hostile at some point, abilities, etc. Would definitely play an expanded version. Would be a great mobile game too, I think. Good job!! A piece of constructive criticism about the audio however, sometimes it got quite jarring when the sounds would "ramp up" in some circumstances, but otherwise the audio was quite satisfying and added a lot to the gameplay.
I really enjoyed the game. Simple, yet highly effective and addictive concept! Added to my collection! Great job!
Thanks for playing and for your kind feedback!
すごいアイデアだ!とても面白かった! 操作感とソーナーがユニークで楽しい。
目標と、画面外をクリックしてしまって移動が止まってしまうのだけ少し気になりました ナイスゲーム!
Thank you! I agree that clicking outside the game window is annoying - so I prefer to play fullscreen :)
The sound effects and the visuals are making this Game really smooth to play. I also really liked the radar mechanic it seems quite balanced with the viewing distance and speed the ring moves at.
The Only thing i would criticize is that there is no End or Timer that kind of negates the need to avoid the red rings in my opinion, but it was still fun to play nonetheless.
Thanks! Colliding with red rings decreases score, and the purpose I meant for the game is to try reaching the highest score you can. What is missing, from my point of view, is that the high score you reach is not recorded, so after your score decreases from collisions, you will not see how high you got.
I played until I reached 100, and things started to get quite crowded after that. It was a lot of fun! Maybe adding a leaderboard could make it even more fun. Nice work!
Thank you! I'll consider adding a leaderboard after the rating period ends.
Really enjoying the idea that your radar focuses far away and spreads out nearby, as well as the sounds to differentiate green from red!
There should probably be a way to move in a more granular way, as every click needs to be super short if i want to move just a tiny bit. (this is usually done by adding a very subtle acceleration to movement)
Thanks for playing and for your feedback! There actually is some acceleration - maybe it's too subtle ;) When moving in tight spaces, I just kept LMB pressed all the time and made tiny mouse movements. More apparent acceleration, when I tested it, felt like it compromised control too much.
The sounds and visuals in this are insane! Would love an expansion on this after jam.
Thank you, that's very kind!
This is pretty fun, although it would be cool if there was some more variation. well done!
Thank you, I find it both engaging and dull myself... ;)
The sounds and visuals are very satisfying! I would love to see some sort of win or lose state in the game so I could grind for a high score
Thank you! My idea was not to have an ending state, but you still can grind for a high score. I exceeded 300 and it got a bit tedious, but with good focus and a steady hand you can go on. It just gets harder and progress slows down because the amount of space is finite, and the number of rings in play increases linearly with score. Thought of making it nonlinear, and decided it would be unfair by artificially delaying the moment when you can go no further.
Love how smooth everything was and the light beam mechanic to determine who was good was excellent idea. Alienated sounding noises went well with the game design. Definitely recommend going further with it after the Jam.
Thanks for playing, appreciate your feedback and encouragement!
Great game, super fun and a really good use of the theme! I agree that abilities would be the way to go if you plan to keep developing the game, but even now its got great replay-ability.
Thanks a lot!
Really fun and polished. With a few more mechanics/abilities this would be an absolute banger
Thanks!
Agreed!
