I can't believe how beautiful this is. This is so heartfelt, and the visuals and music all of it- are just amazing. Great job!
Absolutely beautiful game... Actually, I feel like I could even call it a piece of interactive art.
The art is incredibly polished, and the story has real depth to it. I especially loved the parts where you actually type out the diary entries yourself. The longer I played, the more connected I felt to the protagonist, almost as if I really were the person writing those entries, making typos and putting those thoughts into words myself.
The music is amazing too!! I also love how the background subtly moves along with your mouse. It adds so much to the atmosphere, and the memories that suddenly appear throughout the game genuinely gave me chills.
Iβm not completely sure if I reached the actual ending though? I got a black screen while the music continued playing for about a minute, so I wasnβt sure if I was supposed to keep waiting XD
But either way, this was such a beautiful and deeply satisfying experience. I really enjoyed it!!
I'm a sucker for these kinds of visuals and art style. Well done guys.
Overall good to play ! Sticked to the theme point.
Great concept and great writing!
my Only gripe is the font.
Style was lovely and it fit the story extremely well, and the ending got me thinking how this can be done in such a short timeframe.
The story elements being given through a typing game is a genius idea.
holy mother of cutscenes. That was the most cinematic thing I saw this jam. Very cool! It definitely went over my head though haha but I love the effort and style :)
Love the art. the font does sort of blend in with it though it fit the aesthetic. Great game
Love the visuals. Though they did mess with my eyes if I stared at it too much. Anyways, had a great time playing.
my lovely style - retro visual novel - super - great job, love it
Thank you so much for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed
Overall enjoyable experience. I liked typing out the journal entries. After the quote at the end it felt like the game would continue.
Very unique art style! It creates this really cool atmosphere when combined with the music and story! Great job!
I like the style! Very cool, well done.
OH MZ GOD WAS THIS CINEMATIC!!! Very cool gameI love the art and the story! the music was also great and the doctor has so much drip xD writing the journals was a bit tedious because I had my Keyboard switch y and z and I thought it was your games fault xD but it was mine :) would you also give my game a try?
Haha! I thought the typing was glitched at first because I forgot my "caps lock" was engaged. Thank you so much for the kind words and I would love to try out your game!
Incredible game! I loved the art and the music and the story! It had so much atmosphere.
Love the vibes. We need more lighthouse works (especially if the light comes from burning them bodies, that's a dope concept). Typing out the journal did engross me into the story. Bunch of notes: text characters as mentioned by others, after moving a match out of the screen the whole screen got a red overlay(? I think I managed to select the UI or something haha), the first puzzle with lighting the same match 3 times was super unclear (you can't relight the match so I wasn't really thinking that; I was trying to pull up a new one - maybe click on the open matches just spawns a new match); I'd would have use different color for who's talking labels or other differentiator. "49 days later" just opens back into the bedroom feels like a big opportunity to do an impactful story/time cut. The video might have gone a touch too far with the dithering it was hard to make out what are you saying with some of the shots. After the video and a bit of text from narrator I get black screen with just the music playing on repeat, no text or anything? Had to quit there.
This is an amazing masterpiece I just can't call it simply a game! Wow, super cool!
I appreciate the feedback! Our game designer spent a lot of time on this so definitely good to hear people enjoyed it.
The art is super good, and the narrative is engrossing! The only problem I encountered was that some text was not properly rendered. I looked up all the errors, and they were for the following characters: ... , / , - , ] , > , and ~. Other than that slight hiccup, it's great!
i like the art the sounds and the vibe
but realy need to tell the player wher to go or what to do next
Thank you for giving your honest review! Glad you enjoyed the art and the vibe and we will have to consider that idea for the next jam!
I liked the music/audio and especially the art style and the resulting gritty vibe that this game has. I got stuck on the writing of the Journal because I didnβt realize at first that I had to write it. But once i understood what i needed to do I liked it, seems like a good way for the player to hear the story. Some thing were a bit annoying like some characters being too similar in the font like
A - I
. - ,
And I noticed a character that seems like a Bug. (I was playing the Web Version)
