Played the game through and I wasn't disappointed! The worldbuilding from the NPC dialogue and other set pieces is great and the cross-referencing part is pretty challenging too.

The artstyle, sound design and voice acting are absolutely superb too (props to the artist).

Great stuff!

Love the art and story! The VA is fire as well, great game!

Yay web build!

Exceptional art, really stands out and carries the whole vibe. Was continually surprised at how many new character designs kept showing up! What an effort from the artist. Love to hear some voice acting in jam games too - not the best mic/recording setup, but it was well performed and added to the overall package. Could possibly be cleaned up a little more in post without needing to makeshift a recording booth, but perfectly jam acceptable as is.

The gameplay was okay, very papers noir, it did feel a little overshadowed by the art, audio, and narrative though. Would've been nice to have a little progression/more things and complications to check as the days went on. It definitely wasn't bad in any way, and having the presentation take priority over gameplay isn't necessarily a mistake, but I was expecting it to ramp up at least a little like most papers please-likes.

I enjoyed the little extras on the desk, having a cigar and using the record player, really helped sell the mood. Talking of the record player, the music was great, I'm glad I figured out how to play it and change the track!

Excellent entry, great work by the whole team and thank you for the extra effort getting a web build out!

Wow, the game is visually stunning!

Really loved the voice acting, felt professional and the overall vibe of the game is really good and obviously fits the theme perfectly.

Great job :D

Good visuals, smoked a cigar, lost few fingers and boss died.

Developer

Thank you so much! Happens to the best of us.

The atmosphere and the visuals are amazing! The gameplay loop can feel a bit repetitive, but I think it works well for small game. The interactions to light a cigar and play a record are nice touches and fit the vibe really well. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your thoughts! Love your game, planning to download the art book, we're glad you enjoyed!

Was not expecting the voice acting! very good, PLEASE make a web build!

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed our game!

I enjoyed it a lot. Reminds me of Papers, Please. I think the only thing I'd change is to add a few other variables or things that we have to check about each person, as the core loop can get a little repetitive. But I really liked the narrative and level of care and detail in each character, awesome work there

Developer

Thank you so much for your feedback and thoughts! This will be noted

This was such a blast! The art is GORGEOUS. I really loved lighting a cigar between visitors, such a great touch. I managed to not get my fingers cut off, but wow that is so metal and kept me sweatin' over those papers.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! It is def an achievement that your fingers are safe considering how difficult the game can be xd, we're glad you enjoyed the game!

This is so sick, the vibe is on point, I also thought the record player where you can pick your music was a really cool touch

Took a couple of attempts cause I let some assassins through but I managed to make it through the 3 days :)

Thank you so much for your thoughts on the game! Glad you enjoyed it!

I loved the art and the UI design!
I didn't like the long monolog at the start, but that's just a personal preference.

Overall it's a fun twist on papers please!

Thank you for the feedback! the long intro can be skipped by pressing Z, we didn't want to reduce it any further due to it having a lot of story beats, glad you enjoyed!

I like it!  It's a lot like Papers, Please.  I love the vibe and the little cigar/cigarette lighting.  I definitely let a few assassins in haha.

I did find the opening intro to be a little too long

Developer

Thank you so much for your thoughts on the game! We definitely wanted to reduce the opening a bit more but we felt like it would take away some context and atmosphere so we added a tutorial book and the skip dialogue sequence, we're glad you enjoyed it!

Really well-done game! The voice acting is a lot of fun, and I liked the extra little interactable on the desk. The art is amazing and the gameplay loop is a lot of fun. The narrative and feel of the game were spot on I truly felt like I was in the middle of a gang war of crime families!  Loved it!

Lovely artstyle and AMAZING atmosphere!! The entire Gang War story was SO nerve-wracking! Amazing Stuff!!

Although i will have to admit, the game IS a bit tricky at times (or maybe I'm just bad at noticing stuff), but sometimes it'd almost feel random to get killed off even when following the rules, so some clarity would've been good.

All in all, y'all nailed this stuff!!

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! We're working on tweaking the game to be a bit easier, we're glad that you enjoyed the game!

Cool game with amazing art. Was fairly difficult but really enjoyable.

Beautiful artstyle and very good voice acting! Also pretty hard game (atleast for me), I really sucked at noticing the mistakes and was terrified of every person I approved.

One thing I noticed is that my mouse hover and clicks didn't register at times.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback! The mouse hover and clicks is probably because it is taking time to process the inputs, we'll be finding a way to make it smoother, thank you again!

LOVED the art. It's hard to get both the scope and the presentability right when it comes to making art for games made in such short time. Loved the VA as well. The atmosphere was set JUST right, I was terrified of getting my fingers cut off at every desicion and idk about the others but the no music thing really made the entire thing nervewracking. Also, turns out I suck at noticing mistakes lmao. Loved this!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your thoughs! We wanted the mistakes to be very tricky to find so it isn't a straightforward game and it would require some keen eye!

I'm glad you loved it!

The art in this is soo good, and the VA did a great job too!
On the other comment there was a complaint about the lack of music, and although i also didn't get the optional music, I found that the menu vinil was enough, the music is good, just maybe a bit too happy compared to the lore.

I played three runs (apparently I'm really bad at spotting mistakes, let two assassins in) but got a little confused on the third one, I got the ending with a photo on the wall (did someone die? why? is this one ending or did I lose?)
Overall, really great work! Loved the characters and the gameplay was well explained.

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! The picture of the player in the wall indicates that he was promoted and is now a part of the La Casa family, I do understand the confusion on that though,

The music feedback I understand too! We had difficulties in terms of music cause our music artist for White Ash didn't had experience with Jazz music so we improvised with ones online, thank you so much for playing!

(+1)

ohhh it makes sense!
Keep up with the great work!

Submitted(+1)

Immaculate vibes, all the characters feel unique and alive!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! The La Casa family extends their gratitude
