How does the game fit the theme?
you have to choose who to trust, and you can use your handy superstition guide to tell if they're lying or not
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I don't think I used anything I didn't make?
How many people worked on the game?1

Nice concept, fits the theme well, and characters design is fun. It's a bit confusing what kind of cases you're solving though at first, would be nice to have some kind of introduction maybe, and a bit more questions. And since the computer icon has similar color to the background, I noticed it only during the third case. Great work making the game solo during this short period of time, and making everything from scratch!
thanks!!!
容疑者たちがユニークだった。イケてるね
Fits the theme, good work there !
thanks!
That was enjoyable! I'm not sure if I'm right (does that mean I'm wrong?) I thought the characters were super charming and the mystery as a whole reminded me of Shadows of doubt (for the strings) or even older, the Carmen Sandiego mysteries where you interrogate the suspects.
interesting! (that's the first time of me hearing of either game)
That was fun, I think the string connecting mechanic is a really neat idea, and the characters were just hilarious.
I did find the ending of each case a little vague, although perhaps that's the point (or a function of the time constraint!)
In any case, well done!
thanks!!!! (I love the in any case joke)!!!!!
i think it's a cool game , and fits the theme alot , I really loved it (Can you try mine )
sure!! I'd love to!
Great one, didn’t understand much of the second case and how to interrogate
I'm glad you enjoyed! what did you not understand about interrogation?
how to do it and how it works
you just click the questions to ask them? and you get the questions by clicking questions
so that is the interrogation mechanic
yeah!
Super fun! The characters/dialogue have a lot of charm and the gameplay is good - I liked hopping back and forth between characters and seeing the narrative unfold.
I did crash the game three times at the same spot in case 3 (When I learn of Aubert Hoops and question them about the evidence while using my superstition brain) I did also have some sticky moments with the red string interaction - I sometimes found it difficult to undo/delete the connections I had made.
yeah, sorry about that, I didn't get around to fixing it so that if you didn't select anything it would delete, but glad you enjoyed! (about the thing in case 3, I think it may have been a if statement layering problem, because all of the text is in one place, and near the end I think I lined up some brackets wrong)
I had really good time playing, the game crashed on case 3 several times but i really liked it!
could you please tell me where? I should probably fix that
I was trying to connect the "suspects" with the string and a got a lot of errors one by one.
huh, I'm not sure about that one, were you connecting the suspects to something specific?
Honestly, I do not remember. Now I tried to reproduce it but I can't, the string just seems pretty buggy. It happend after the basketball appeared.
hmmm... not sure. I'll look into it after the jam rating happens
Really funny game :D I loved the kind of suspects you used for the game
Suggestions for improvement:
- It wasn't 100% intuitive for me that I have to click on the questions from the letter to ask the questions. Adding a hover effect should probably already help a bit. Could also add key shortcuts to them to make it even clearer. Also the clickbox for the questions only worked on the words. Extending the clickbox to the whole row could help as well.
- It also wasn't clear that suspects could get new questions and I should go back to them. You could add some kind of indicator to show it.
Cool entry! :)
thanks so much for the feedback!!! I was planning to do something like a little message or something, but I didn't end up getting to it
Hey the game was fun! I guess some minor bugs but has great potential!
Loved the gameplay idea here! Encountered a few bugs, especially the dragging and had to replay again. But fun idea all over. All the best
thanks! (why did you need to restart?)
I really liked the mindreader minigame having to read and dodge projectiles. The (web) Game did crash when i asked hoops his name, but other than that very good
oh, sorry, I thought I'd fixed that before i sent it... may have accidentally fixed it but not re released the game... sorry!!
It was great but i keep forgeting what to do if there were openable and closeable instructions that would be nice But i also think almost everyone would think of a detective game at first so not so creative? Great Game!
yeah, thanks! I feel like the Idea came from the superstition that truth came in triplets, but I never ended up figuring out how to get the picture change during talking, so it doesn't have the same effect
I like the game
thanks!
I like the interrogation aspect! Although I would have liked more questions, I think it's an interesting game!
thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
