neat style, more unique gameplay than alot of the games in the jam, i like how the demon eyes follow the mouse

Frankly, it’s quite a good idea that you had here. It’s a breath of fresh air for this jam! Good work on this one! It seems that there were a couple of gameplay elements that you didn’t have the time to put together, so I think that you could continue to iterate on this one until your vision is materialized! :)

thank you, we will try to update the game after the jam ends

I see from the other comments that you didn't finish the gameplay. I'd be curious what else you had in mind. Neat little arena!

I really like the visual and dynamic effect of that eye. It's very cool.I have already given you a rating.

Couldn't trust myself to use the corrupted item correctly anyway so the theme is working nicely :D I also got the bug of enemies getting stuck outside of the area but this is to be expected with jams, congrats on submitting something

Developer

Thank you very much, I appreciate the kind words.

I thought the visuals were really nice. When I played people were getting stuck outside the arena. Also when hovering over text the letters would disappear.

Developer

Thank you for giving it a try. for the text dissapearing, I actually noticed that but didn't borther to try fixing, it wasn't quite an urgent matter 😅,  for the enemies getting stuck, I don't know for sure, I wasn't in charge of that, will fix after the jam

Interesting arts and animation with attack, everything seems working and polish

I liked the pixel art and sfx. I was a bit confused on how to become #1 but eventually I figured it out. Nice job!

Thankyou very much, we couldn't complete the gameplay though 😅

Good job on submitting something that works, that's a quite a feat already :)

I really like the art and theme for the game! I wasn't too sure if I was hitting the enemy. Could use a tutorial or some levels to progress the challenge a little bit so I can understand the game a bit better. Hope to see more from you in the future though!

Developer(+1)

thank you, Yeah we might add that in the future, not sure though, cause this concept was a little messed up to be honest.

The game is really pretty but I didn't really get how to reach number 1? Reading the how to it seems it is decided by the entity somewhat by giving you stats or something, maybe it would have been good to put this stats on screen. Great menu tho! I would like to know how you put that glow effect over it!

Developer

to be totally honest, I added the how to play before we could actually finish the game, so you get to be first but no stat buff 😅

Developer

for the glow effect, I used a world environment node

I’m not entirely sure why, but after reaching the very end and getting the # number, I saw a “Play Again” button. I really like the sound design!

Developer(+1)

thankyou, I thouhgt maybe you'd want to play again, and the sounds were downloaded, I lost track of from who exactly I downloaded what, but you can get the general sources in the credits

the art is very nice! i would say the gameplay is pretty confusing, i have no idea what i am doing and i lose track of myself very easily , if you could update the description to have have the controls listed i think that would help

Developer

yeah you're right, the player should have been highlighted or something, the attack is automatic though, you just move and direct your weapon
