How does the game fit the theme?
The little monster friends gave you their trust and you are not trustworthy at all.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
It was all from scratch!

Really enjoyed this game. Wasn't sure about the mechanic at first, but it became really fun to have to balance between taking out enemies and getting close enough to recruit them. Would love to see an updated version of the game with more upgrades and maybe some more visual feedback for shooting enemies/getting hit. Great job, well done!
Liked the mechanic where you kill your teammates for more upgrades! I think you can add more juice when the player got hit for visual feedback. Also, not sure if it is just me, but sometimes the enemy will suddenly teleport near me, maybe it is a frame rate issue. Overall, nice game!
Fun little twist to the vampire slayer game! The art was really cute, even the background of the game was super fun with the blinking eyes.
I would like to see it expanded on since I think this is a really cool unique mechanic that i've not seen before in this genre!
I like the idea of needing to melee/parry or do some close range ability to recruit the enemies. I imagine the game would be centred around the risk of losing your hp for potential allies or upgrades so making that interesting and satisfying would really juice up the game.

A cute twin-stick shooter. I wish the day/night cycles were a bit faster, but with the amount of upgrades the game has currently, that may be too quick.
I like the little enemies and animations. man those chomper guys are what eventually killed me. I made it through 2 nights. I didn't quite get how things were priced in the shop. If I understood correctly, sometimes enemies would convert if you killed close to them, and then they become currency (betrayed) in the night. Creative mechanic!
Yo, I looove the enemy design, great job!
I didn't think I'd get so hooked on the game, but I ended up beating it—mistakes and all. I didn't quite grasp the leveling-up mechanic at first. I played through about 80% of the game with zero upgrades. For some reason, my intuition told me the bonfire was just for skipping the night, but it turned out to be the place for leveling up. Anyway, great job! I absolutely loved the visuals, and the music was really pleasant.
hey the game and the art style is super cool ,and the game suits the theme well and really enjoyed the game :))
Core gameplay is good, though I wish I had a way of knowing how much "currency" I had outside the buy menu. Not sure what the ending point is so I stopped after the second night.
The recruitment requiring you to get close to the enemies is a neat way of incentivizing a riskier playstyle!
Interesting take on the theme! It was fun and engaging to play. One small nitpick maybe the bullets could move a bit faster. Nice work overall!
Very cute music track, I like the visuals and designs of the monsters and main character. Very Vampire Survivor esque!
The game feels great to play! I really loved the combination of the music, art style, and fast-paced gameplay.
And no one can trust me anymore, sad but cool :D
The only issue I noticed was that when making small adjustments to the aiming direction, the muzzle seems to shift to the side — the gun points one way, but the projectiles fly in another.
It was surprisingly fun, I like that the game doesnt just end when you die. The power ups fealt nice, skating around and blasting a whole bunch of bullets really improved the gameplay. Went from running for my life to hunting them down. Great job!
Very cute game! I liked the take on the theme, and I think you all did pretty good overall! I think my only grips were some QoL things but the core loop/gameplay was solid!
Cute concept!
