  • Okay, we’re going hard af from the very first second—though the way the roar fades out and comes back, reappearing with new ideas... that’s a really interesting intro you’ve got on the first track.
  • The interlude was quite an experience; I think that out of all the sounds I expected for this soundtrack, sleigh bells were pretty low on the list. Hey, those whispers—or whatever they are—work really well; horrors beyond my comprehension and all that.
  • I like how the intro to the second track feels like a return to the sounds we heard in the other two songs. The track as a whole has a strange vibe that fits the themes and aesthetic you’re establishing perfectly. I really liked that odd section where there was a song buried beneath the distortion while all the sounds kept building up. And the sense of anxiety in the section right before the final violins kicked in was brilliant.

By the way, that choice of cover art is great—totally badass. It’s the kind of game I would’ve wanted to own, but my parents wouldn’t have let me have it because it had skeletons in it, haha.

Lost - great ambience, and it really hits when percussion comes in.

Accidental malevolence - very creepy track, especially the really wet reverb, but got too muddy at times.

I really liked the distorted voice(?) samples, it gives a super unique sound:)

We might be two sides of the same coin this jam (though your mixing is definitely better).

I liked the vibe, especially the first track and interlude.  I think lost and (not)forgotten does a great job of establishing the world and it feels entirely unique.  The mood here is layered and melancholic with this mixture of danger and wonder.  It certainly has its own fingerprint.

(accidental)malevolence, on the other hand, felt a bit disjointed to me. That may have been intentional, though, and if so it definitely evokes unease. I could especially see it working during a boss fight in this world.  Really well done.

Cool sounds!

These remind me a LOT of kings quest the mask of eternity. The music and the cover art.

loved the interesting soundscapes and juxtaposition of orchestral sounds on top of more distorted and synthetic textures!

The first song, _01 lost and (not)forgotten_, more immersive and partially epic, is a good introduction. I guess I relate the least to the second song, _InterLude. My favourite is the last song, _02(accidental)malevolence_, quite diverse in the sensations it promotes, from a feeling of strangeness and expectation, through a drowning experience of sorts, up to some kind of satanic ritual, or perhaps an escape from it. Too bad it wasn't finished, I would have liked to hear where it was going next.

There is a strange sensation of standing on the edge of a precipice, with a long-fallen, long-dead kingdom behind you. An interesting concept, an interesting sound.

And after all, i liked it

this makes me very happy because that's almost exactly what I was going for!

lost and (not)forgotten: Very cool atmosphere. Wasn't expecting percussion but it fit right in. Strong horror feels.

Interlude: I really really like this. I like this vocal heavy environment, very creepy, and tambourine was a nice touch.

accidental)malevolence: More of that vocal atmosphere. Like the atonality in the later half.

Nice work!

Hello! I really enjoyed your music and the storytelling behind the tracks. I could feel the intention behind them. I'm not very familiar with the video game genre you composed this music for, but I got an old Resident Evil / survival horror vibe from it. I liked it.

thank you very much!, I worked really hard on this so it means a lot to me. I had so much fun working on the story telling that I kinda forgot that this was suppose to be for a game, but I started of with kingsfield in mind.
