Cool game! I really liked how the dialogues give you hints on who is a fake, also the HR mechanic is fun! Good job!

its a fun kinda papers-like game. I love the mechanic of your coworker going over your cubicle and seeing if you are reporting them to HR.

Really fun and replayable.

Amazing work :)

I liked the idea and the atmosphere, but there were some bugs that interrupted the gameplay. Even so, it's a really good game.

Fun gameplay loop!
Though the dialogues repeats pretty fast Im glad there are multiple choices here
And honestly I want more of this now, keep going :D

Cool gameplay, love to see papers please like gameplay.

Really enjoyed this game! The concept was fun and the little details, especially the fake work emails and annoying coworkers, made the theme really come through. I also liked how the mechanics fit the idea of office life and made it easy to relate to. It could definitely use some polishing and bug fixes, but overall it was a really fun experience and a great entry for the jam!

This was quite delightful! From the office emails to the annoying co-workers, and throwing in the fakes really nailed the theme on the head. I laughed at the work work work work tab (we've all done that!) The email to HR typed out every time (why couldn't he just copy/paste lol) and the nosy coworker snooping by and having to hide your tab - was all very well done. I thought the chiptune bgm didn't match the more modern sfx, but that was probably my personal taste. Also noticed a bug where if you press and hold the mouse button, it fires the sound continuously instead of once. Other than that, this was a very nice game and perfect for the jam!

Nice idea though it needs some polishing and bug fixing. Maybe new mechanics to understand fakes or consequences for spotting them to vary gameplay? This game is promising!

Cool idea goes well with the theme. I like the simple art style , the faceless coworker feel right. One thing I didn't like was that  I got the same dialog a lot . For example in the 10 dialogues of the normal run at least 3 where the same and it was always was a not fake. I am guessing you could expand on this more in the future. Good submission.

Like that you can actually get caught filing an HR report. the dialogue was great too!

Ran into a bug where the dialogue options sometimes wouldn't go away when trying to file a report.
Not a fan of the clicking sound personally, but I liked the music!

Good job!

I Liked the idea of making the UI in the computer and the fact that others interrupt you with uninteresting conversation while you are working haha.
I didn't like the audio on the clicks and the background music.

Keep it up!

An interesting take on the theme! I have to admit there's a good amount of dialogue here (maybe a bit too much for my taste). The art direction fits well with the somewhat impersonal vibe of open-plan offices, and I really liked that coworkers can spot you while you're sending reports to HR.

On the downside, the audio loop is a bit short and gets annoying after a while.

Really great game!! There's SO much dialogue XD

Even though some of the same coworkers show up again, there's so much different dialogue that there's no way I could read everything in just one playthrough. Super creative!

I especially love the mechanic where your coworkers can catch you writing a report to HR XD But if you don't finish the report, you can't report any fakes, so you have to sneakily write it as fast as you can without getting caught!

My only issue is that the text is a little small without a fullscreen mode, so it was a bit hard to read sometimes TT

Great game please rate my game

I like these kinds of games where you need to think and pay attention. And yours is perfectly developed love it!

Submitted

cool idea to have to figure out the fake via the way they are talking and not just by the things they are saying. I had a bit of an odd thing where I got the same guy just back to back for 3 times

Submitted

cool deduction game, i agree with what the other comment here said (and in turn your reply as well) that mechanic would have been really good to add considering the theme. i think it could be expanded as well in a story setting if it was done like that. overall this game is good

big spoilers ahead

nice little game! i enjoyed the concept of the fakes. and i actually have a theory... i think the protagonist (the player) is a fake... he doesn't seem to care about anything or remember a lot of stuff... idk... i don't trust him...

i'd add some more music, or at least add some silence in between loop and loop, and also make it so that you can't get the same coworker two times in a row. but, other than that, i don't have any more complaints.

the writing is on point too, were you inspired by scp stories? cause that's the vibe the game gives.

congrats on a very solid game :)

There was a mechanic that had to be scrapped at the last second, but basically it was that you could be flagged as a fake if you raised enough suspicion with wrong answers. It's why some of the characters prod at you a bit more than others. I'll take those into mind if I continue development, but I think I was influenced by SCP in some way. That is one of the biggest compliments for me. Thank you so much for the review!

you should totally go ahead with that mechanic, it seems like it would make the game even more interesting. and actually i kind of was wondering if that was gonna happen tbh and minding my answers. good job

I loved the unnerving feeling this game gave to me >:). The audio was a bit too repetitive to me and I had to increase my zoom to 150% to be able to play comfortably in-browser but the concept was great. It’s like they’re walking all around us 👀.

Developer

Thanks! The audio definitely needs some fine-tuning (hah), but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

This was fun and really had me paying close atention to everything that was being said. Those god dam fakes are a snake in the ground!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you had fun!
