How does the game fit the theme?
Trust No One isn't just a title here — it's baked into every turn. You can't trust your own cards, since none of them deal their damage until the dice decide. You can't trust the dice themselves, since one of the three lying in front of you is showing a face it doesn't actually have. And you definitely can't trust a 1 — roll one, and the game turns on you with a curse, a wound, or worse. By the time you're reading your own die out of suspicion instead of hope, the theme isn't just a joke anymore. It's the whole game.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Assets from Kenny
Code from GodotGameLab's tutorial

Cute pixel art minions and an interesting mechanic using dice values to apply bonuses! I imagine you could take the concept even further by allowing players to manipulate the dice values as well.

As for the dice, it's not very clear that one of the three isn't the actual value.
I would also amplify the visual feedback for selecting dice, right now, it's pretty hard to tell which die is currently selected. And maybe display card descriptions on hover rather than on click would be nice.

I ran into a bug on the last floor where the game got hardlocked during combat resolution.

Good job !

Cool concept!

1 issue i had was that the 4th card wasn't playable always. After you receive the 4th card, you can play it, but you can select any other card, put it back, and now the 4th is available.

Took me a little to understand the lying dice concept.

I also would suggest decresing the time of revealing the fake dice. i know you can just roll and skip it, but the sound doesn't stop. It just gets a little repetitive.

Good job nonetheless!

I played this game way too much for a jam entry 😅 The only two issues for me is that I did not get why to pick from 3 dice and I was never able to play the very last card in my hand. An addicting and really well made game!

Im a bit of a sucker for card games and dices LOL XD

I have a soft spot for this kind of game because it was the first type of project I ever made with other people during a game jam. I’m really glad I got to experience that nostalgia

The random picking of the dice kind of reminded me of Mario Party, like how each character has their own dice in that game. I think it would be cool to have a little more influence for which dice gets picked. I love the game so far but I would love a little more influence when it came to rolls and attacks!

Very nice game! A good deck builder for the amount of time for the jam with a great concept of keeping everything tied to a roll of die. The only thing I have trouble comprehending is the way the theme fits in the game since the only thing related to it is a "lying dice" and "trusting in RNG". But anyways, great job nonetheless!!

Nice game, very interesting theme interpretation and a huge amount of work done!

The only thing is that I felt too many randomness during the game (playing cards before dice roll, guessing the lying one and dice roll itself), but it was pretty fun though :D

I had some trouble with the controls and figuring out which action led to what outcome during my first few rounds, so a tiny onboarding tutorial would help a lot! That said, I might just be lacking experience with games in this specific genre.

What I couldn't quite wrap my head around: even after facing multiple opponents, the gameplay still felt quite RNG-heavy to me? I might have just completely missed the nuance of the dice mechanics, though! There were lots of neat icons, but much like the text font, readability suffered a bit from the very low pixel count.

Anyway, I absolutely love card games, and the art style is super consistent throughout. Thank you  for the submission!

I really enjoyed the deck building. I will say it is pretty hard but I love any kind of challenge. Really cool concept.

Lovely deckbuilder with a fun twist, though i think some of the effects may last longer than they’re supposed to? Drained seemed to persist after the effect wore off under the character.

I had quite fun playing this, enough to try two runs. I was still at the end of the second run confused about some important things, part of it being the lack of tool-tips for important information on screen or too much info in tool-tips so they needed scrolling. I unfortunately also have the game lock up on me on the final fight. Nice work overall though with the enjoyment.

Play-through with more feedback:

Pretty fun deckbuilder! A lot of randomness though - the game plays you, not you play the game :D
And it seems like the lying cube was always in the middle. Maybe it was just an accident.

Cool, cozy roguelike! It's really fun to play, though a bit on the difficult side
