this submission is super cute!!! really love how you went about instrumentation here. the way you are able to match timbres of instruments to provide the exact vibe you want to get across is impressive! i really love the way you compose melodic lines as well. great use of syncopation and polyphony that never seems overwhelming or too much, and instead adds SO much depth to the texture of the track. super cohesive OST! thanks for sharing!

Songkeepers: Some upbeat percussion to start. Nice and sweet melodies, as well as a cool ending.

Abel's Theme: Loved the use of pan flute. Really gives the vibe of an early game character theme.

Valor's Theme: Getting a bit darker. Love the harp arps. My favorite track here!

Sir Billsworth the IV: Starts off feeling silly (matching the character) but with a deeper side showing when the strings come in. Nice work.

That'll Cost Ya: Apt name, love these chord choices. Strong shop theme vibes.

The Mad Ratters: This gives me a cartoon villain vibe which matches the story you've written. Very well composed.

Songkeepers - This is a lovely composition. I especially like that transitional phrase with the quick arpeggiating line as well as the main melodic hook itself.

Abel - This reminded me of some route themes from the old pokemon games.

Valor - I like how this track develops. I think you dropped out the harp and changed the melody instrument at just the right time.

Sir Billsworth the IV - Lovely percussion writing, and I also like the little melodic snippet you place in the upper register of the harp. At this point in the soundtrack, it would have been nice to hear some more interesting harmonies. Nothing too crazy, but I felt a V/V would fit well here.

That’ll Cost Ya - This is funny and fitting music for a track titled “That’ll Cost Ya”.

The Mad Ratters - I like the part writing and different instrument pairings on display here. The different voices separate then come back together in a satisfying way. For these reasons, it is a close favorite behind the title theme.

This is a charming assortment of tracks. Though I’m not completely against retro sounds or soundfonts, I’d prefer if there was some modern spin on it, but that’s just me personally. The compositions and melodic material are strong enough that each track has a unique personality, appropriate for a game of this nature. Nice work on this!

Nice jolly soundtrack with a lot of parts that remind me of cartoons I used to watch growing up. My favorite theme was “That’ll Cost Ya” it sounded different from everything else and had a sort of jazzy feel to it I really liked.

Love these quirky critters and their cute little themes (Sir Billsworth the IV is my favourite we need more wizard platypuses (platypi?).

Very nice OST ! I really liked Abel's theme and Sir Billsworth the IV's Theme. Both tracks were lovely.

Though, it was easy to hear the artificial side of the instruments you used. The snare rolls could sound a bit less artificial if you were alternating between high and lower volumes hits. More volume automation would have made this OST so expressive as well.

Nonetheless, it was a very fun listen. Great work !

I am sorry, AdPa203, but I will start with a mention to the cover art, which is really something and adds so much to the magic of your compositions. Congrats to the artist! The music is a full, positive contrast with everything I have been hearing so far. It is not preoccupied with greatness nor any sort of room filling vibes, but with the simplicity of a true story telling by the camp fire. I love Valor's theme, it is melodically so rich and welcoming... I also give a lot of credit to the goofier songs, such as Sir Billworth the IV's theme and Mad Ratters. Truly "sillier" themes are not easy to develop but bring a much necessary tension break to stories. Such a warm soundtrack to anyone's heart :)

Nice entry! All of your tracks definitely sound connected and the consistency is there. Something I would work on is the mix, all around the balancing could use a bit of tweaking. Asides from that this is solid work <3

wah.... huh?  this was perfect!  the main theme is very well crafted and the character themes did not feel shoehorned in at all.  You've got the full life of this story/game here.  You executed so well.  And the nuance in Valor's theme perfectly captures her backstory and her role in the trio.  And Sir Billsworth's theme is so spot on to his character design.  Listening to their themes and just looking at their characters none of it felt out of place.  This is so good.  And that shop theme?  So comfy.  Seriously, excellent work.

Love the marching drums in the first track, the percussion in all 6 gives it a solid base to feel the tracks' pulse and move you along the journey. Very solid album!

Excellent soundtrack (and illustrations on the project page too) I liked it a lot !

I really appreciated mostly the effort on characterization on the characters with the appropriate instruments and vibe given to them (like in Peter And The Wolf, the instruments are so accurate that you can easily picture what kind of characters the tracks are associated with). It gave them a lot more depth and it made your characters come to life thanks to it.

Concerning the tracks themselves they were very solid, I think liked most the Songkeepers theme (it introduces pretty well the kind of universe your characters are evolving in), Valor's theme (great vibe) and Sir Billsworth the IV's theme (great goofy energy for a great character also).

Overall very solid work (as a soundtrack and as a whole with the presentation ), excellent job !

Wow this gave me a flash back to when i was 14 playing Pokemon ruby. Specially love the shop theme, sounds like something that would be playing in the cantina in star wars.

First of all, I LOVE ALL THE ARTWORK!!! This is such a beautiful display of pure creativity, and your dedication has really impressed me. This game should be made! Find a programmer!

Songkeepers: First of all, with soundfonts being such a limited toolset to work with, you've made this sound really incredible. Applause for that! I'm curious about the moment where all the melodies are played in sequence. Perhaps there could be some space to play with counterpoint between the melodies, or have them blend into one another more? The main theme is just exemplary, and really accomplishes the adventurous feel you're going for.

Abel's Theme: Aww, this is so earnest and heartwarming. The B-section with the harp and pan flute is so sweet! I am rooting for this little fox boy so harddddd

Valor's Theme: So far, I appreciate the minimalism of these tracks. It fits the distinct soundfont style very nicely. It lets the music itself sing.

Sir Billsworth the IV's Theme: bassoon + silly, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is just delightful. The pizzicato section is just so cutesy! You've used music to bring the characters to life, well done :)

Another big hidden gem for me. This one deserves fame and glory! It's certainly one of the most unique soundtracks so far, and the world you've come up with is very intriguing. Great work, and keep writing!
