How does the game fit the theme?
You can't trust your opponent for not pressing the button. If you don't press you both win. If any of you press the button, the person wins....

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used photobashing on almost every asset. We just photoshopped and edited all assets. No AI

The idea is really interesting, the art style is unique, and the atmosphere is phenomenal, but to be honest, it was too difficult for me. Some of them I knew how to calm, and some not and not sure why. But anyway, I feel that with very little work, these things could be tweaked. Great job :)

Really loved the art style

I really loved this dark, slightly gritty, but incredibly atmospheric art style. How did you make the character animations? They look so cool!

The only thing missing was a button-press animation and some kind of feedback for it. Great job!

Such an atmospheric game experience!

really interesting interpretation of the theme, loved the visuals as well!

Very unique game. You nailed the unsettling atmosphere. Good job!

there's too much intense in the room that made it much more to enjoy the game and mostly those sfx and music are like raising the heart beat like should i press the button now or not enjoyed the game
great job:))

Ahhhh i like the presentation but …
“Gun is a tool of intimidation” ? LOL, nicely put in a psychological game!!!

Kudos to the team
Aaaaaaaaaaaand thanks for checking my game out!!

I really like the idea very much, but definitely could have been more better, where there are actual cues of whether the opponent will press the button or not (something you can do is write a description of your opponent a bit so you can judge better if they will press the button or not) That in my opinion would be a huge step in the further development of the game. Item usage I didn't understand at all so cant say anything about what they do. The idea is very nice, I like it very much.

The art style is very unique and not anything I've ever seen before. "Photobashing" huh? Gotta check that out.

Gameplay-wise I was a bit confused. it seems to be a game like "crash" where the longer you wait the more and more money you accumulate, but you can't be too greedy because the value can instantly crash (e.g. in this game, they hit the button first).

If that's the gameplay loop, then it's very chance based. That's not exactly a genre I'm great at.

I wasn't able to hit the quota, but it was fun to play regardless!

Love the art style! It really helped promote the overall atmosphere of the game! A small critique is that it took me a bit to understand what exactly was going on in the beginning, even with that page of brief explanations. I was able to parse it out thanks to the main page, but it might be better to have a bit more clarification as to what exactly is going on in the main game itself. Also, idk if it was just something on my end, but the edges of the screen were cut off. This extended into the fullscreen mode as well. It was minor, but the cropping cut off half of the words in the bottom left corner during the shop screen. Might want to look into that as well. But those are minor things that didn't really detract from my overall enjoyment of the game. It was engaging and the atmosphere was incredible. Great job!

The atmosphere feels pretty scary to say the least, so good job on making that!
One thing that could be improved would be to show what the items do when the player uses them...
Apart from that, it's a pretty good entry that fits the theme well :>

I could not meet the quota, and beside the glasses, I could not really figure out what all the other items are useful for. It felt that they did nothing really. The opponents were still hitting the button regardless of wine, music box, gun. But beside that, one can really feel the tension every round.

All in all, it feels like a complete game. The overall style and the characters are unique. The theme and audio fits.
Good job you guys!

I quite liked the game, but I couldn't meet the quota :<

I hated that lady, she hit the button!

Great game! I really love the sound design — the NPCs' breathing sounds when they get nervous, and the tense ticking of the stopwatch countdown really enhance the immersion! :D

This game reminded me of another franchise, though I can't recall the name.

I really liked the atmosphere you created. it fits the jam theme perfectly as well as the visuals, music, and tension.

Congratulations, great work.

Wow, this is very unique! And all the character sprites are so cool and unique! It really helps with the uneasy atmosphere. Simple but effective! Good job!

Cool game! It does feel unnerving and somewhat creepy, and I think it fits the theme well, even if at first I was a bit confused as to what to do, specially with the items. Also, I wasn't able to see what the white buttons read so i just clicked hoping it would start the game. Other than that, good job!

Really nice work! I liked how uncomfortable and strange the game feels without needing to overdo it. The music, scene design, and those creepy little animations all work together really well and give the game a strong atmosphere.

The only thing I struggled with a bit was figuring out what some of the items were supposed to do :D

But overall, very well done!
