How does the game fit the theme?
Another way to read "Trust no one" is "Trust №1". In this game, only Slime №1 is speaking the truth. You have to deduce which of the other slimes speaks the truth and figure out who holds the coin.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Initial code was written by following Brackeys Godot tutorial. The rest of the code was written from scratch.
Most assets come from the same youtube tutorial, but I created some sprites and animations myself with asperite (coin slot / hearts / attack animation)

I loved this game so much! Super simple, yet incredibly thoughtful. The execution is perfect, and I love the little platforming challenges to reach some of the slimes. Really awesome!
At the end I was so hooked I was hoping for more puzzles and platforming :P
This was a fun game! The premise is simple & executed really well, and the process of trying to figure out who is lying and who isn't really got me hooked. I do think some of the levels felt a bit too reliant on luck, but overall good job!
Thank you for your kind words! I realize some puzzles are far from casual to reason about, but if you tink it trough (especially island 3 is a tough one) using only logic and deduction, you will find there is only one solution possible. I was thinking about adding the explanation to each puzzle as well, but thought that would become a bit tedious and only 1 or 2 people would be actually interested in it :). that said. if you have your doubts about a specific puzzle, I would happily share the reasoning with you.
im sorry but i just couldnt move at all, but still good job
Maybe the game frame lost focus? You can try clicking with your mouse inside the game to give it focus again. Movement with arrow keys should work without a problem then.
I had a lotta fun. I wanted to continue for the puzzles but unfortunately the platforming started to kick my butt around the 4th / 5th level 'XD. Good work!
You did a great job hitting the theme perfectly with this one. I felt sorry that I had to hit those funny slime-creatures but ok. It’s a really cheerful and enjoyable experience to play through. I definitely had fun running around the levels! It’s a solid, well-executed entry that delivers exactly what it promises.
Great ending! :D
Very nice game idea and interpretation of the theme. I really enjoyed playing it and would like to have more complicated levels, especially with tougher platformer parts.
Nice take on the theme. I liked the standard "figure out who's lying" mixed witha platformer and knowing one you van trust for sure. Solid entry for sure. Well done!
