Really liked the setting and visuals are solid too. I did however not fully understand how to make out the uncool customers.

Nice artwork. Cutscenes were very good. Nivce job

Cool art and game.

For me at least, the level was kinda tough. It can be balanced by making first level much easier. Just keep 3 VIP quota, keep the VIP list small, maybe 2 pages only. Also perhaps cross the ones which we have already in? Then increase difficulty slowly.

Thanks for playing! I was a bit scared that the player would process too many npcs too quickly, but it looks like I overcorrected... I feel that the gameplay does level out after a bit once new mechanics are introduced, though.

Really fun concept and the game design is very creative! Music really sets the theme.

A really great concept. The art, story and the audio is totally awesome!

Thank you so much for playing! We wanted to make an "arcade-ified" papers please-esc game, and I hope that's noticeable in the game itself. This is actually our sound guy's first game project, and I think he knocked it out of the park, though of course I'm biased.

The art style is absolutely fire! 2d in 3d world , absolutely fantastic! They did a great job recreating the post-apocalyptic atmosphere! Special props for the introductory cutscene—it really immerses you in the mood before the game starts.

Thank you for playing, and thank you so much for the high praise! As I continue to make games, I always feel myself gravitate towards that 2d in 3d style. I think it's a very underutilized technique, and it always pops wherever I see it used. Although, that style is only made possible thanks to my lovely artist-collaborator-friend who lovingly made all the 2d assets in the game. Thanks for enjoying our work!

the game aesthetic's are cool and the narration is good . but too many vip's made it difficult for me
overall the game was fun

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you like the look of the game. I think I overestimated the amount of guests the average first time player would process on any given day... That problem gets alleviated a bit more as the game progresses I think.

The intro was really cool and I like the funny story. I think you could start with less VIPs for introduction and then increase it with more level. For me it was to much time spending on the VIP list.

Very cool vibe!

Developer

Thanks for playing! All the praise for the silly intro is flattering, thank you. We wanted to evoke those classic 80s game intros that don't really make sense but still set the tone nonetheless. If I could turn back time, I'd make more tools to allow fine tuning of game balance, but in the time frame given I went with pretty much my first instinct... It is possible to beat, I promise!

Rad game! I really liked the vibe and voice acting! The amount of VIPs and dim lightning made it a tad hard. I never came close to learning the list and it felt too slow to scroll for for every guest. The color variations were evil. Maybe I'm just a L.A.E.M.o

Developer

Thanks for playing! The voices of the guests were an inspired choice by our sound guy lol. When deciding the flow of the game, I thought it might make for an thematic challenge to make the guests hard to see in the dim lighting, like how it might actually be difficult to get the details of someone's face on a dark street corner. However, it seemed to be more of an accessibility issue than a fun game mechanic in the end. I think with practice, though, you can get by ok.

Incredible intro! I agree with below, a skip intro button, or cutting 1 or 2 of its pages out and adding in a quick explanation would go a long way to tighten up the experience. I'd love to see what you could do to this with more time! This is a really awesome world you've built.

Developer

Thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback! We didn't know anybody would actually want to play through the game more than once so a skip button didn't even cross the mind... So glad you liked our rad apocalypse, we enjoyed making it!

Nice papers please like game. Cool aesthetics.

Skip intro would be nice if you want to play again.

Also the sudden timer stressed me a bit after being thrown into the game without explanation of the gameplay :D

Good work! :)

Developer

Thanks you so much for playing our game! Glad you liked it.

Qol notes received 🫡. I wanted to add a tutorial screen but I ran out of time lol these things happen...
