How does your game meet GBJam's theme
You're playing a coin-pusher game, where the enemy's a 300 year old cursed pirate-coin.

Cute game, stellar visuals! I wasn't really sure how to consistently get my coins to go into the play area, they seemed to randomly go above the bar regardless of when I timed it.
Quality and polished entry! Maybe the most authentic take on the theme of I've seen! I got to the idol, swore I tilted thrice, but still got the bad ending. Clearly I missed something.
Great entry, that I wouldn't have guessed as being a jam product.
I'll have to test that out some, see if I can find out what happened. It should only be the bad ending if you maxed out the tilt meter or didn't tilt the idol out. Thanks for playing!
Very cool interpretation of the theme. I had lots of fun playing this, especially after I read the store page and understood the special coins and coin biting (I had to skip the tutorial because I was unable to progress past the teeth part because I accidentally used them all before that lol). Overall a very nice game!
Really fun take on the theme. Making the whole game a cursed coin pusher is very original, and I liked how the curses changed things up.
The palette looks great, the pirate music fits perfectly, and the sound effects have a lot of personality. Very charming entry.
Cool take on the theme as I have seen coin diggers, coin fishers, coin puzzlers, no coin machine so far. The coin variation was also a nice touch, overall a neat idea!
Graphically the game looks neat, has it own minimalist charm to it. SFX and music are well made, they don’t really get monotone or harsh or anything.
Cool idea, lovely execution!
Thanks! Yeah, I honestly expected to see at least another so I'm surprised myself here. Glad you liked it.
Nice take on the theme, and great execution :)
Wonderful color palette! And I feel like you nailed the theme.
Great color palette! SFX are also great, and it’s a lot of fun to play. Keep going!
Thanks! I spent forever on the sounds, since they're newer to me. I usually just resort to paid/free audio when I do games. This was my first foray into them in A WHILE. Glad you enjoyed them!
Great game! Had a lot of fun taking out Grimsby! The rocking boat curse was brutal!
Haha, that was my favorite one to get. I always had issues with the Midas Rot one, so much that I almost took it out, but I couldn't think of a good replacement that I could implement well enough in it's stead. Glad you enjoyed it!
Very cool concept, loved the idea, and gameplay is pretty rich, had a lot of fun with this one good job !
Thanks! It was fun trying to keep it simple and yet vary it up a little.
Very cool! Will be back to play this one...
Glad you enjoyed it enough to want to come back! It was fun to make.
Shiver me timbers! That was a really cool entry! And a unique take on the theme that I haven't yet seen.
Love the relaxing pirate music too.
Great work!
Haha, I spent like... two days at work coming up with that little loop while "running unit tests." Glad it worked out. Thanks for playing!
I just realized you made Wash from the Brackeys jam too, which I also really liked.
Hope to see you again in more future jams. 🤝
Thanks! Yeah, I plan on doing more for sure. It's a nice break from working on my projects and ends up giving me ideas or letting me test things out.
Really nice concept, and I especially liked the color palette.
Thanks for playing! I liked playing around with the palette too, especially when I realized I could change things up for the curses to really drive them home.
I love the concept, and the cursed mechanic is a great idea. Great job! ;)
Thanks! The curses were fun to think up and try to implement. Glad you enjoyed it.
This is such an original interpretation of “old gold”, I love it! The style and Game Boy vibe were cool too. Great job!
Yeah, I've not found another coin pusher at least. I was worried it might be too low hanging fruit. Almost scrapped it for a golden retriever based game, but pushed ahead. Thanks for playing!
Very cool concept with a great vibe. There was a lot of tutorial text, but all it really needed to say was "Push this guy off the edge!" The rest of the mechanics come after that.
Yeah, but then you'd miss Grimsby talking :P Thanks for playing!
Love the use of theme! Art is nice and it was fun to play. Great work on this :3
Thanks, my last game jam people didn't feel the theme was forward enough, so I wanted it like CENTER to the game. Glad you enjoyed it!
i love love love love the audiooooo hehe pretty quirky game and the graphics are perfect for the theme, the only teeny tiny issue w me is the gameplay but otherwise COOL GAME
Hopefully there were no bugs in the gameplay, just that maybe it was too simple? Glad you think it's cool either way!
An interesting idea executed very well, I like the visuals and the music but the gameplay didn't really connect for me, with all that said its a very cool concept and its clear a lot of effort went into it.
Yeah, it's a simple little coin pusher, not necessarily everyone's thing. I just had it in my head for a while to want to try a coinpusher for various things, so when the theme got announced I figured I'd go for it here. Thanks for playing!
