This game is so much fun❣
I absolutely love this huge pumpkin💕 Whenever it got smaller during the game, I'd get really desperate and think, "I want it to be big again!"
The music and sound effects are awesome, and above all, the game's atmosphere is fantastic!!
One thing that bothered me was that even though I was playing in full-screen mode, I must have accidentally clicked on the taskbar or a window in the background, because other apps kept popping up on top of the game multiple times, interrupting my play. Maybe it's just an issue with my setup? When I finished playing, I found a ton of Tor browsers running in the background 😅
Anyway, I had a really fun time. 😆
Very good. Mellow and spooky music. Crisp art. Good sfx.
The artwork is awesome! I really liked the mechanic where you attach the pumpkin to a chain, reel it back, and feed it—such a unique and fun idea.
As for the gameplay itself, since it seems to be a survival-style game, I did start to feel a bit bored midway through. The boss felt surprisingly weak, so I wondered if the game was designed to make it fairly hard to die.
Overall though, I think it's a really cool concept. Thanks for the fun time!
No. It was designed for me, because I'm a bad player. I should get friends, this is what happens when you make things solo. (sweat) Harder levels after the jam! Thanks for the feedback!
Ah, I understand now! So it was designed with other creators in mind—I hadn't considered that viewpoint.
Difficulty balancing is certainly challenging, but using the game to foster communication and refining it through test-play feedback sounds like a great way to improve it further!
I loved everything about this one — probably my favorite of the whole jam. I finished it twice, which says more than any rating I could give it . The polish is genuinely impressive. Great work!
I love rouge-like games so the game was enyojable for me. Could be a little bit more harder. Most enemies dies in one-hit and bosses can be CC-ed 100% of the time. Atmosphere is great for a halloween game
It’s really fun! The level of polish is incredible—hard to believe it came out of a game jam.
The action of kicking the pumpkins brought back memories of my childhood soccer club.
There are plenty of stages and a wide range of build options; plus, the upgrades provide satisfying feedback during gameplay, making it a blast to play.
That's impressive! 13 Rutabagamageddons. I think I've got 2...
Time well spent getting the gameplay right, you nailed it!
Its really enjoyable to play!
The tittle is creative, and its fun because its a fast core loop, and has a good feedback, and a good visual art or visual identity, I really enjoined to play the game, and the upgrade system is cool,
Has a Great atmosphere, and the main mechanic with the pumpkin is so creative and original, i like it.
Sorry if my English is bad, i speak Spanish.
Great atmosphere! The pumpkin-throwing combat is simple, fast-paced, and genuinely fun. I really enjoyed playing this!
That cover image drew me in immediately—it’s so wonderfully colorful and charming, setting up a whimsical Halloween arcade vibe that made me hope for a rich, atmospheric treat. But as someone who deeply prefers story-first, text-heavy experiences over twitchy action or arcade hurdles, diving into Sir Rolls-A-Lot felt like a mismatch for my tastes right from the start.
1. Overall Enjoyment & Value:
The game is functional, clean in its browser execution, and captures that initial visual promise.
2. AI Direction & Mastery:
Utilizing tools like Rosebud AI, Claude, and ChatGPT, the developer clearly pieced together a working asset and code pipeline. The colorful cover and assets pop nicely.
3. Production Velocity & Scope:
Using AI to help bridge code, sound, and images allowed a solo developer to push out a complete, playable Halloween arcade concept within the jam constraints. It’s appropriately scoped for what it is.
4. Innovation & Experimentation:
Ultimately, while the presentation sparkles with charm, it lives in an arcade lane far away from the story-rich realms I prefer to get lost in.
I enjoyed it!
I think it would have been better if the game completion animation had been more elaborate, to enhance the sense of accomplishment. I thought it was a shame that it ended so suddenly.
(This is a machine translation)
Indeed! That's a great suggestion, but I'm also thinking about making the ending just the beginning of the game.
This was so much fun! Really enjoyed playing it.
Thanks-A-Lot!
