Thanks for the detailed response. For EcoBeasts, I’d focus on communities where people already enjoy creature-collecting, ecosystem/simulation, and management games rather than broad gaming groups.
I’d approach relevant Discord communities, Reddit communities, indie game/playtest groups, smaller creators, and also run targeted email campaigns to reach people who are interested in simulation, management, creature, and ecosystem-focused games.
The goal wouldn’t just be to send traffic, but to find people who are actually likely to play the first session, return the next day, and give useful feedback. I’d handle the outreach, promotion, and email campaigns while keeping the messaging focused specifically on the playtest.
For the small playtest, I’d suggest starting with a $50–$100 test run so we can keep the scope focused and see how well the audience responds before doing anything larger. I can also show you some previous promotion work/examples so you can see how I approach indie games.
If that sounds reasonable, I can put together a specific outreach and email campaign plan for EcoBeasts, including the type of players I’d target and how I’d approach them.
Sure. Since you’re already looking for people to try Cyanotype, I’d focus first on getting it in front of the right kind of players rather than just trying to get as many people as possible.
A few things I’d try:
Reach out to small creators who already play similar games and ask if they’d be interested in checking it out.
Make a few short clips showing the most interesting parts of the game and use them to get people curious about the full game.
Share it in smaller gaming communities where the game actually fits, instead of posting it everywhere.
Keep pushing the playtest while collecting feedback, so the people who enjoy it can help spread it naturally.
I can help with the creator outreach, email campaigns, promotion and content side of that if you’re interested. If you want, I can also take a closer look at Cyanotype and tell you what I’d focus on first.

Hi razor reikI came across your post about looking for marketing support for God's Dungeon. I saw that you're specifically looking at Steam wishlists, creator outreach, community building and Kickstarter promotion.
I work with indie-game promotion and player discovery, and I already have a few ideas for how the game could be put in front of relevant gaming audiences.
Would you be open to me showing you a simple promotion plan I have in mind for God's Dungeon?
Absolutely, I understand. I can provide some basic marketing support to help Game Empire get more visibility without requiring a large budget.I could start with things like short-form content ideas, promotional posts, Reddit/Facebook outreach, and guidance on how to present the game to potential players.
What kind of budget would you be comfortable working with for basic support? We can start small and build from there if you see good results.
I can do the marketing. But Just to clarify, my lowest price for a test-run promotion is usually around $75–$100. That would cover a small promotional campaign so we can test what works and see how people respond to the game before doing anything bigger.
You can choose the price that suits you from that range
Awesome. I had a closer look at Provincia Wars, and I think there’s a lot we can work with, especially the Roman setting, province building and RTS gameplay
Rather than just posting ads and hoping people download it, I’d build the promotion around a proper launch funnel:
Short-form gameplay content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels and Facebook
A strong 30–45 second launch trailer focused on the most interesting gameplay
Targeted outreach to RTS, strategy, Roman-history and mobile-gaming communities
Outreach to smaller gaming/strategy creators who are more likely to actually cover an indie title
A creator/press kit with screenshots, gameplay clips and key information
Optimizing the Google Play page so the screenshots, description and trailer convert interested people into installs
Building a small community/Discord around the game before launch
Recruiting early testers and using their feedback to improve the release
Turning development updates and new features into regular content instead of only promoting the game when it launches
Tracking where the players actually come from so we can focus on the channels producing real results, not just views
For Provincia Wars specifically, I’d position it around the idea of building and expanding your own Roman province, then use the actual gameplay to create short videos around different hooks instead of repeatedly posting the same trailer.
If you’re interested, I can put together a more detailed campaign for Provincia Wars showing the content ideas, target audiences, creator outreach approach and the first few posts I’d use for the mobile launch.
Hey I came across Game Empire on itch.io and the idea of building your own game studio from scratch caught my attention. I really like the part where you have to manage the budget, follow market trends and make decisions about what games to create and release.I also saw that you’re planning a mobile version. Are you currently looking for ways to get Game Empire in front of more players and build some attention around it?
Nice, that’s great to hear! I had a look at Provincia Wars and I think the RTS gameplay gives us quite a few things we could work with for promotion. I’d like to take a closer look at the game and come up with a few specific ideas based on the gameplay and the mobile release. I can send them over and you can see what you think.
Hey! I came across Provincia Wars and saw that you’re working on the mobile version of the RTS. The Roman/provincia setting and the base-building and strategy side caught my attention.I also noticed you’re currently getting the mobile version through the Play Store review process. Are you looking for ways to get the game in front of more players once it’s available?
Yeah, I understand. I think getting some honest feedback first is a good way to see what people think of the game and what could be improved. And also sorry for the slow reply as well. I didn’t want to just rush back with some random ideas, so I took some time to properly go through the gameplay and get a better feel for the game. I’ve spent some time looking at it now, and I’ve actually come up with a few promotional ideas that I think could fit the game pretty well, especially around the gameplay and the things that make it stand out.If you’re interested, I can send the ideas over and you can have a look. No pressure at all I’d just like to hear what you think about them.
That's alright I’d love to help get the game in front of more people. I can help increase visibility, attract potential players, grow wishlists, and create promo content that gives the game more exposure across gaming communities and social platforms. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to share some ideas for promoting it.
Yeah, that’s a fair question. I’m new to itch.io, which is why my account is only a day old. I’m not a bot, and I’m reaching out to indie developers because I’m exploring game promotion and discovery. I understand why the repeated messages might look suspicious. I’m not trying to spam or mislead anyone. My idea is to look at a game, understand what makes it interesting, and suggest promotional content such as short gameplay clips, social media posts, trailers, and community outreach that could help it reach more potential players.
