How does the game fit the theme?
The game fits the theme because the world is constantly changing and nothing is exactly what it seems. Each level introduces a different situation, making the player question what is real and what is not.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Yes alll code an asset

That's a really cool game I really enjoyed playing it.

it reminds me of another game I used to play all the time. very well done!

walking a little black block across the very first screen, labelled start, straight into the yellow door and getting snapped back to the ledge is exactly the kind of petty betrayal the title promises, and the warm crt grain over the flat orange looks lovely for how simple it is. good ragebait

I like this type of games, because I want to win so overall good job, in my opinion collider in red rinagle hazard( or character) is to big, I didn't touch the triangles and die - good job

Submitted

Cool concept but short game (but we're in a game jam after all!)

Submitted

Pretty cool! You successfully ragebaited me lol

This was a really nice game to play, I liked the indication, good level design and easy to grasp, great job on doing it alone !!!

This was a really good game. I wish there were more levels!

Nice ragebait game, more level pls?

Very entertaining game focusing on rage inducing spikes. Sometimes they still get me even if I correctly guess they'll be there. The only nitpick is that sometimes a spike can still damage you even if it doesn't look like it's touching you. This can usually be fixed by shrinking the hit box of either the player or the spikes. In this case, this might actually work in the games favor as mild frustration is apart of the experience.

I really enjoyed it! the colour scheme really suited, and that cool background effect was really interesting!!!! (I do wish the spikes were a little more forgiving though!)

super fun, minimalist platformer where the stage instructions are straight-up lies and the world constantly shifts to mess with your head. Sure, the spike hitboxes are brutally unforgiving (they basically have square collision boxes)

Submitted

Cool game! The spike's hitboxes were too big but still managed to beat it!

Spike collisions are way too big ive used godot for platformer before and it shoudnt be to hard just make square turn it 45 degrees and match it other than that GREAT GAME so awesome i did not think of any platformer for this theme but you did it, Awesome!

Yo, this is like the game evil level!

Really like the simplistic design. Only level I didn't like was the one where the screen zooms in. Other than that. 4/5 stars. Great job!!

edit: Also, the spike collision box are a little unforgiving.

It’s a cool game, the gameplay is good and balanced, but unfortunately, I don’t really like the hitboxes of the spikes — they’re too big. It’s a really cool effect when the player dies — they break apart.

I love the fact that the stage instructions are lies
