How does the game fit the theme?
In this game you can't just trust the guests but you have to compare the data with their apperence and their id to confirm they are not an anomaly.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

1 anomaly got in the hotel. I guess now the hotel isn't safe anymore. Pretty good simple game. You definitely should not let ishowspeed in. EVER!  And it is playable on mobile too. Nice!

The game is pretty neat, sort of a papers please type of deal. The lights at the sides can be a bit confusing, you naturally think of them as the buttons since they are much bigger and catch the eye first. The gameplay was pretty solid and all the references were pretty funny.

Fun little game, good job!

very enjoyable game

When I start play the game, it mistakes me that the light on the side is the button but the real button is on the top. Not sure if you want to make this lie, haha.

The randomization of the guests will sometimes go like the same person went three times, not sure if that is the way you choose like they are "anomaly", and it is better to have some warnings or hints like if the player made mistake instead of just telling player what happen at the end of the game. Like you got 7 anomalies passed in when the game ends, but I don't know which ones. Overall, not bad but still needs some work to improve.

Developer

Thanks for playing I am currently working on a update to improve gameplay :)

But yeah the game jam submission is over, so your update should be a different file. Overall like I said the game is not that bad so congrats

I loved how it's like  papers please but with your own creative spin. The art was really cute and simple. The gameplay can be pretty addicting once you get a flow going! Great work!

Developer

Thank you for playing the game :) I am currently working on a update for the game that is going probably going to release after the game jam.

Ok at first I didn't know I was supposed to compare the guests to the pad on the left, I was just looking at their ID and saw they all matched (maybe I missed this in the tutorial?) The UI elements could've stood out more (pad on left, red/green buttons - I thought the lights were the buttons at first because that's where my eyes went to naturally). Other than those minor things, the game loop works, it has a nice 90s retro vibe with the graphics and sound.

I enjoyed! Wish I could talk to characters but I understand that's a big ask for just a week-long jam haha.
cute references to real people and other games, the music is really good, i always caught myself turning the radio back on when the loop ended because it adds so much.
just 2 tiny nitpicks- the story screen at the start has 1 spelling error: anomalies (not anomalys), and it is a bit squished into the sides, making it more centered would be nice :D

Thank you for playing and for the feedback ,there can be some language mistakes because I dont speak english fluent but I will fix them in future updates :)

Very simple!

Developer

Yes !

cool game

Thanks

Nice game! I think you can use a margin container during the scene telling the player about the game's mechanic and objectives, having the left side of the words sticking to the edge of the screen hurts my eye lol. Also, for the red and green button, I was kinda confused on which button should I press, cuz there is button at both side of the screen and buttons at the top center of the screen. Adding some feedback for letting an anomaly pass is also good. But overall you did a good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing. The buttons to press are at the top and in the middle are the alarms if you press green the green alarm goes on :)

And what do you mean with the word ,do you mean the text ?

Submitted

Yep I meant the text.

I am currently working on a new version that is going to realese after the game jam and i am going to fix that

Dude I really like it, confused the hell out of me in the begining and tried using the WASD keys (yes i know i know im special like that). Its Great!
not used to pixelart but i really liked the way the character changes are done

Developer

Thank you ,hope you enjoyed

The pixel text in the log book for dates is unreadable :(, I'd suggest trying a different font that can be easier to read, especially for numbers

Developer

What do you mean by the log book ?

Submitted

The black booklet on the table

Developer(+1)

Oh it was supposed to be a tablet

It was a fun game, I was engaged through the end. An the jump scare was a nice touch.

Developer

Thanks for playing,hope you enjoyed!

Awesome job especially for a solo dev. I like your pixel art and the jump scare got me. Maybe an indicator for when you let an anomaly through? Other than that, great work.

Thank you very much :) Another comment suggested the sam but in my opinion it would be a bit boring but I want to add in future devolpment a report at the end of the day but I will consider your ideas :)
