Nice game, a little hard to control. Good work with characters, and the menu UI looks nice and clean, very Tron-like
Overall great work
Thanks for playing. You're officially the first person to say they liked my UI, I appreciate it!
Now THIS is podracing. I really love the sound and the driving feels pretty satisfying :)
I'll try spinning ,that's a good trick. Thanks for playing and glad you liked it!
it was fun, i enjoyed it. impressive that you managed to make this game in a short time. 3d portraits on the bottom corner are pretty cool :D
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for playing! The portraits were one of my better ideas for sure, it's my personal favourite addition.
Ay its good to see a familliar face in this game jam! Really cool game! I love the character variety and the polish of the interactions. Though I did find one of the map a bit confusing with the arrows pointing on different directions (could be a me skill issue thing though). The art is very charming thoughb I do think it needs a bit more polish, but for the amount of work you've done in 4 days, this is quite impressive! The audio were great but I wish there were a bit more narrative context at the start but overall, I had a lot of fun! Great work!
With a jam this big I'd be more surprised if everyone weren't here! And unny enough the arrows were just there to let me orient the checkpoints after adding respawning mechanic last minute, so on map 3 where it's a figure 8 you end up passing through both ways making it technically wrong. I certainly needed a couple more days to polish and tune everything to perfection but that's the nature of a game jam.
Thanks for playing and commenting!
What a rush. the music was bugging out for me but the tracks sounded great of what i could hear. The first time i got major airtime I realized you understood the genre.
Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it and sorry the audio didn't work out for you. It seems like a minority of people every gamejam, have never gotten enough information to find out why exactly. The downloaded versions wouldn't have that problem though!
This is bringing me back to my childhood while playing Wipeout on the PSP. I love the addition of the portraits! Great job!
Glad you liked it. The portraits were one of my favourite additions that I came up, literally made me laugh aloud implementing them.
Thanks for the comment!
Haven't played any game quite like this in a long time, very creative!
Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment!
wow this is awesome! I love all the designs and models! Its so cute! You did so great with this game! Congrats!!
Really glad you liked it, thanks for playing!
Fun racing game! Great result for a 4 day jam. I really liked the vibe of the characters, they really feel like they have personality. Nice jam game!
Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!
I'm a sucker for ep 1 racer so you definitely had my interest with this one. Solid base for this type of racer, although the ships felt a bit too floaty. I also found the driver's sounds a bit too frequent at times so it made it hard to focus. You got a lot of racers in for such a short time too, loved the look of the sheep car. My only other comments would be that the final track is fairly rough. Having a checkpoint a foot from a cliff was a bit ridiculous and I kept spawning below the arrow so that I couldn't see. That said, the game was plenty of fun and you certainly nailed the ep 1 racer feel.
I could write an essay on how good ep 1 racer was for sure, I'm a big fan. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! I really had issues with the CPU on the last track and remade it far too many times and by the time I found the problem was not with the track itself it was too late and I didn't have time to improve it. A lot of tweaks to the racers and how they feel happened over the 4 days but getting them all just right would've taken more time to polish for sure. Glad you liked it, and also happy to hear so many people played long enough to even get to the final track!
blast to play, like the controls and bounciness and the boost felt nice, pretty challenging for me even on easy and hard for me to compare in general because I haven't played similar games in ages but what's here i really like. The game has plenty of personality , the sfx were fun, surprised by the voices :). The graphics were nice but would like to see what it would look like with less PBR lighting and going for a more stylized flat look without the smoothness to match the more cartoonish fun vibe. A very polished and cool game that would be cool on my steam deck in the post jam version ;)
Good to hear you liked it. Balance was certainly a challenge, I think on Easy as long as you regularly used the boost you'd win but I'll keep it in mind for future balancing too. For the graphics art style I originally tried flat style and the portraits just looked too weird and I swapped to the smooth shading. I'm slowly getting better at blender and will figure out a good style for next jam for sure! thanks for playing and giving the detailed comment!
Cool, it's probably just a skill issue with me :) Have you tried experimenting or using different shaders instead? The models especially the characters themselves are good already. Anyway good luck and keep it up!
Fun!!
Thanks for playing!
nice game, easy to understand it mechanics, little hard to progress, really like the music and also those different map designs
Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment! I do have different difficulty levels in the settings but usually if you're struggling to win races you need to use the Boost more, it's a significant speed difference. Glad you enjoyed it!
Control smooth and fun by the way overall, this is good racing game.
If you have the time, please try and rate my game too :D ->

Happy to hear you liked it. I'll add your game to my ever growing list to stream, it looks right up my ally.

Controls and gameplay are so fun, brings me back to pod racing in lego star wars
The LEGO Star Wars games are really good too, although I liked the N64 Ep1 Racer the most.
Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it.
10/10 GAME SOOO GOODDD MAN , Had sooo much fun playing it to be honest , The music fits so well and the art is soo good
You're too kind! Thank you for playing and commenting, I appreciate it.
@Aaron_music_YT's music truly is fantastic for these types of games. He's done music for me in game jams a couple of times now.
The controls are very fluid and it's really fun to play, great job!
Thank you! Happy to hear you liked it.
Really fun, like 5 stars enjoyment fun, the juice on the pod-racing physics and speed are really satisfying.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing and commenting!
Seeing those little portraits in the corner is so incredibly fun and silly, especially with the debug menu! Also I SUPER apologize, that is not the terraria goblin
I was streaming the development of it live and I could not help but laugh aloud at the portraits. It's honestly one of my favourite features I added to the game because I love it so much. (And yes to anyone else reading comments if you hit TAB you can cycle through all the pod racers and see things from their POV including their portrait). Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment!
I enjoyed all the character noises whenever you collide with anything. Fun game. Only issue for me was the last track initially because the track sometimes blended in with the void.
I had fun recording the voice lines too lol. Thanks for playing! I agree, the last track is really hard to see and navigate on (unintentionally but ran out of time to remake it again).
