Delightfully beautiful presentation! I loved the little touches that brought everything to life; the script on the letter, the aged bloodstains, the blueprints as map- very well done nailing the Faustian vibes. Also a fan of the writing, and the extraordinarily slim chance that the adventure does not end in tragedy for Magnolia.
Love the visual design here. Really makes incredible use of material as theme. Love it!
Delightful and very well thought, with a grafic design on par to the best of our hobby. A joy to the eyes! Gameplay is nothing exeptional, but with such an overload of pure flavour even a minor quest will work great. You can see author's care and love in every place!

Oh my, that layout is really something! Reminds me of the layout of some games such as Delta Green. That gives it a really strong mystery vibe, that's the kind of adventure I'd love to have nice handouts for to really share that ambience with the players. The writing itself is also very nice. Great work!
oh this layout is a delight!! it's flavorful, maximalist design only adds to the fun mystery afoot. great work!!
Really nice. The layout, the writing, the premise - so much care and thought has gone into this and it really sings. An immersive experience and a tightly wound machine of a scenario.
It hooked me right from the beginning. It’s very charming and the premise makes you invested. I really love the layout and how natural/immersive it is. Cant’t wait to read more of your works!
The design is somehow even more evocative, which makes the writing feel so deep. I love it!
Very cool design, I love the use of textures to make it feel like you are reading tattered scraps. Spooky and very well written.
I love this kind of theme, the layout is really thematic and I love the floorplan map, it's simple but emphasize the theme. Lastly, the handout that is given to players, the letter is absolute chef's kiss.
Really love the design and layout. Gave me mystery escape rooms vibes and I love those. Not a fan of horror but still great little adventure.
A module that makes you feel intelligent while reading it. I'm going to put it in my one-shot reserve in case of unforeseen circumstances in my current campaign. All those connections, those details, those touches of humor are delightful !
Very nice adventure! On theme with lots of little interconnections between elements and rooms. No notes!
Really nice verisimilitude design aspects while still keeping all the information usable. Had to laugh when reading through and saw the word culinary, thinking it was a odd choice, and then reading further and seeing marinade and realizing it actually was correct, just unexpected. The animal behavior hinting at the actual soul inhabiting the bodies was a nice touch too.
I really like the Victorian setting here, which I think fits with your graphic design perfectly. You get across everything you need to need to run while making it evocative!
I’ll weigh in on the letter discourse, haha. I think that all you really need is an excuse for why the letter is cut off, and I think the envelope fails to accomplish this. The letter was addressed to Magnolia and presumably instructed her on how to live again; it makes sense that it never reached her (indeed, I think it fits perfectly with the debt-collector position of the party and the letter’s own warnings!). I think that essential premise is wonderful, and ripe for party conflict, too, so from a game-design perspective full marks. However, if Flamel wanted his bride to achieve her immortality, and include instructions to that effect in the letter, you need an excuse for why the party doesn’t start knowing those secrets, precisely because they seem so important to how the party approaches the dungeon. Ripping, burning, or (my recommendation) chemical stains would accomplish this in a pinch, but I wonder if something that seems less like a “narratively convenient coincidence” could be done instead… not sure.
I want to finish up by saying that I really, really like the way you use the souls as they pertain to the animals. It’s such a clever move to make a chimp bark and act like a dog, because it communicates the premise of soul-swapping, horror and humor all in the same stroke. That is design accomplishing more than the sum of its parts, which is the mark of great design.
Wonderful work, make more! <3
Gorgeous layout, and great comedic touch to the horror writing
This is marvelous. I love the found document layout and you make some modern touches there not clash with the mostly fantasy content. Kudos on the blueprint style map, very nicely done.
Some very skeuomorphic design choices here and I think they mostly work. The letter on the back fits the back page really well, and your attention to detail with texture, shadows etc. sells the realism. I disagree about the comments where it’s cut-off. I think it works well.
One suggestion for handwritten fonts though, some bigger line-height would make it easier to read. Look at some photos of handwritten letters and you’ll see they often leave a pretty big gap between lines.
Inside is very creative. It comes across as mad, frantic, chaotic note-taking, but the page is still easy to navigate for the referee. The typewriter font has character but is still readable even at that size.
Slightly unfair critique here, but I printed it off in grey-scale on my printer and it was quite hard to read with the contrast between background and text. The map is also quite subtle and small but I like the ‘blueprint’ styling.
Love the situations in the room keys here. The shushing chimp wandering in to the foyer would be so fun to roleplay. I’m definitely using that.
Nice countdown happening with the bride. I also liked the way you’ve written the keys. Very economical but still easy to parse.
Overall, I see this being a very fun one to play. Great job!
Cool horror set piece. Looks easy to convert to any preferred horror system as well since the premise is the main attraction here.
