How did you incorporate the theme "UNSTABLE"?
Well, a monkey chasing down a banana is a pretty unstable situation. From the gameplay perspective, you need to pick up boosts to get further away from the monkey, but the boosts make it more challenging to react to obstacles coming your way. So there is instability in the tradeoff.

This is such a fun and simple game. I love it. The only thing I would suggest is having the camera face the direction of movement (such as in Subway Surfers, Temple Run, ect.) other than that great and fun game :)
thanks!
GG, it was amazing!! it was really fun to play, i wanted to break the high score but couldn't all becoz of that electric barricade it appears out of now where.. it's a bit difficult to control the player, i think it would have been easier if < >arrow keys also worked .. but the fun factor tho was top🔥
thank you! Good call regarding arrow keys
Nice game! I had fun while playing this
thanks!
Very challenging endless runner that finally let me fulfill the fantasy of being a banana being chased by a giant monkey. The boost felt great and overall I really do wish that you COULD move a little bit faster. Good use of all the assets and your core idea is well executed, nice work!
thanks man!
Good ass game, had to get on the leaderboard
thanks!
Interesting concept, and it's well executed. A solid entry—good job!
thanks man!
Very fun challenge! Your selection of assets is hilarious. I certainly wouldn't want to be caught by that freaky monkey. Definitely challenging, but thats a good thing. Great job!
thanks!
very fun game, the camera being flipped to face the character makes this feel unique to other endless runners
thank you
Wow, this is a very polished jam game! Love the theme and gameplay, and you even included a fun intro sequence with the banana mocking the monkey. The visuals and music/sounds work very well together, too.
thanks!
It's a decent game if added more things and another perspective then I would like to play it after the jam too
thanks!
A creative interpretation of the theme! It took me a moment to understand what to do, but once it clicked, I had a good time playing.
thanks!
Very adictive
thanks!
I got to 77! I feel proud
This is a suprisingly original approach to the endless-run Subway Surfers style games. It's the first time I see that instead of the camera focusing forward it focuses on what's behind which adds unique challenges to the genre: less reaction time, more gambling with the use of boosters, etc.
Overall, a carismatic and fun arcade experience. Kudos!!!
thanks!
I am determined to be the best player to ever exist in this game. as of now, I am. :]
It was such a good idea for you to include a highscore board.
congrats on the highscore and thanks for playing!
Omg, I love this one..
thanks!
Thank you for making a game about bananas. The banana fan community has been waiting for a game like this for aeons. However, i don't see how unstable fits in.
Thanks for checking it out. To paraphrase one of my previous answers, a) a monkey chasing a banana is unstable in itself, b) in regards to gameplay, the only way to prevent the monkey from catching up to you is by picking up boosts, but boosts make it significantly harder to react to incoming obstacles, so there is instability in having to pick up boosts.
An unusual genre for a gamejam.
thanks for playing!
funny but i dont see it interpreting the theme...
Thanks for checking out the game! The theme was addressed in one of the three questions asked upon submitting the game. My answer was "A monkey chasing down a banana is a pretty unstable situation. From the gameplay perspective, you need to pick up boosts to get further away from the monkey, but the boosts make it more challenging to react to obstacles coming your way. So there is instability in the tradeoff."
Yeah Alan but you see. No matter how random and unpredictable you make these types of chasing games, it will always seem pretty stable because of how milked such type of games are. For example in crash bandicoot we are quite literally a fox in blue shorts. So that is even more spontaneous than your game. But any who it was fun, good art, original with good audio
Funny and good. I don't know what to say more.:D
thanks!
LMAO , funny game
thanks!
