How did you incorporate the theme "UNSTABLE"?
The core mechanic of SYNTHESIS is built entirely around an 'UNSTABLE' AI simulation. As the player encounters anomalies, the system's 'Corruption' level rises, representing the simulation's instability. This isn't just a narrative element; the instability actively affects the gameplay. The UI breaks down, the ASCII graphics glitch and distort, and the procedural audio engine heavily distorts and speeds up, perfectly mirroring a system becoming fatally unstable.

So cool! The art direction and presentation are so unique on this one. Amazing job!
Thanks :)
I love the aesthetic, I think you implemented the theme in a very creative way. Great work!
Thanks a lot :)
Super cool aesthetic! The ASCII 3D style fit super well with the other narrative and visual elements, I liked it a ton. A couple of small details: I would have liked some sort of indication that the SYSTEM ERROR ending was not just a Game Over screen, as I got there twice wondering what I did wrong before realizing that it was basically the low corruption ending (unless I'm wrong about this, in which case my apologies). I also noticed a strange interaction where if you get too close to any walls, the direction you're facing can get flipped weirdly, which tripped me up a bit on my first few playthroughs where I got lost a little since I started walking backwards. Maybe that's intended, but it'd be nice if that was made clearer with some other visual/auditory indication. Overall though, very well done! So looking forward to seeing where you go with it in the post-jam version!
Since the wall designs are based on Raycast, the orientation might be different in some areas. But honestly, we don’t really have much to do with that anyway :d I’m glad you liked the game. I wish Manisha could have had this experience too… While playing the live stream, she stared at the same wall for 15 minutes :D:D She was actually supposed to be moving between the corridors. I don’t think he really understood the signal logic. I’m not sure.

Cool vibe! Took me a moment to figure out what's going on but I think this actually fits the theme here . :)
Thanks !
its laggy in the browser version idk if its the game design my hardwere or somthing else
There shouldn't be any lag. This is actually the first time I've seen you. You can also try playing in full-screen mode by pressing F11. It's true that I made the turns a little more realistic, but I honestly don't understand what kind of problem you're talking about. I hope you didn't deduct points because of this.
Btw you told me my game was lagging, but your game crashes the browser immediately :D I want to try it, but it won't even launch. I've run into similar issues with most games made using the Godot engine.
Love the idea as you progress the game it slowly starts getting unstable! This is a very fun game! Love the atmosphere that it puts you in!
Thanks!
feel like its a leaning a bit too far "could" rather than "should" visually overwhelming, but impressive. and not quite sure what was going on, i walked right into where the tracker told me to go, and after the 3rd time the game restarted. definitely a cool showcase of an interesting graphical style, but overall not a very fun experience for me, could be user error.
Not often you see a walking sim anomaly type game in a jam. The visuals were awesome and overall presentation was well put together! Simple yet very thematic
Thank you :)
Really unique style and presentation. I thought it was 2d at first but no it was working like 3d. I couldn't play it after i got 2 endings i believe, as it was straining my eyes a bit. Other than that, goated game sir, hope you make it big game or do this style as a full fledged game.
I mentioned in my reply to your comment on the game that there are options to reduce eye strain. Thanks for the appreciation.
I’m writing my comment on my own behalf for the second time. I realized the problem, went back, and yes, everything worked out. I completed the game; I thought it would take longer. BUT this game is all about the style and vibe, and it succeeds — I can’t even imagine how the locations from 0 and 1 were made. It’s really cool, I liked the game, and I’m glad I finally played it.
P.S.: The problem was that I had a non‑English keyboard layout, and the actions weren’t being recognized.
I'm glad you liked it; thank you very much. I'm also happy that the problem has been resolved :)
I have mixed feelings bout this. On the one hand the style and atmosphere are top notch. But on the other it's really hard to look at for any length of time.
The game's page actually serves a purpose. I suppose everyone just jumps straight into the game without looking at it. There are plenty of settings available to reduce eye strain. They are located in the Esc menu.
It's atmospheric, but the controls can get really tricky at times. I loved it!
I am currently working on a version that includes dialogue, terminals, various control settings, and story lore. However, I naturally have to save these for after the jam.
Very atmospheric submission. I was expecting more gameplay or maybe interactivity, but it fits in the walking simulator genre. The overall game is really unique.
Thanks. It might be staying as it is for now, but I’m really looking forward to the post-jam update. There are many new features I’ve added—and continue to add—that allow the game to offer more than just walking around.
I love the ASCII aesthetic! The UI and sound design were pretty fitting, and it's a pretty unique concept too. I'm not sure I understood the story at first but kind of got the hang of it during my second playthrough. Maybe giving a bit more context to the narrative or having a narrator that's guiding you would help a lot. Great job!
I am working on a comprehensive update that includes a *Disco Elysium*-style RPG dialogue system, an anomaly terminal, and various control and interface settings. However, this is planned for after the jam.

Maybe you could've made it a bit more clear that the number in the bottom decreases as you get closer, took me a bit to figure it out. Good entry overall.
Thank you :)
Lovely, ascii art sure is underrated but some color variance to stand for distances would have been good. enjoyable
I'll flesh it out a bit more after the jam. Thanks for playing! :)
I played and got to the end of the game twice but wasn't sure if I was doing what I was supposed to do. I was just following the arrows. I was left a bit confused.
I dig the "Fake 3D" effect with binary overlay.
Kudos!
Oh Thank you :)
arts are EPIC how you do it PLS i need to know (the matrix stuff )

Thanks :) and (Rated) ur game..
