Very nice game idea. Visuals are great. Gameplay reflects the experience of picking something based on reviews pretty well!

restaurant_h8r is my spirit animal.

Yea the game loop is pretty boring. but the artwork, the world-building and especially the idea that you have to trust restaurant reviewers to go in or not is interesting interpretation of a concept. There’s definitely something cool buried in there.

This might be the most real comment we have gotten. Thank you.

Cute little game! Some comments in the game are pretty funny

Always bet on the Kebab place where the owner calls you friend!

Jokes aside, this was a pretty simple game but with a unique and quite relatable idea. It was funny to read the different reviews and determine the intentions behind each of them, like the restaurant hater hating every single one of them, or the McDonalds stand in having a bunch of bots and a guy admitting that he gave it 5 stars because he works there. The visuals were quite charming, although I wish there were more unique selfies regarding the unique issues each restaurant had (like the coffee shop showing the couple waiting in line, or the run-down bar having the girl surrounded by creepy guys hitting on her

Game is basically a 30 second loop. I was thinking there would be more stages to the date, but it just kind of ends there. Good artwork and a sense of humor though, so I still enjoyed playing it even though there's not much meat to it.

Cute gameplay and concept! I feel as though it may be missing content though.

the art and game feel is SO CUTE and i think the concept has a lot of promise generally. would be super cool if we could visit multiple places in one run on a string of dates, and a bad choice ends the run! maybe we could learn more information about our date at the end of each date that we'd have to incorporate when looking through the reviews (e.g. a shellfish allergy, a craving for chinese food on wednesdays, etc). loved seeing another date themed game in the jam :) would love to play a larger version if you guys worked on it in the future

Deciding on restaurants based on reviews is a nice way of fitting this game in to the theme and the artworks are literally awesome. Loved the idea you guys were going for. You also can't sleep on the fact that the 3d atmosphere is just as good as the artworks. Fantastic job overall

Super cute game! I love the artstyle of the 3d world and of the 2d illustrations, they also blend to well!

This was so cute! I love how each restaurant has their own reviews that you can read and determine if it's good for your date! I would've loved to check each restaurant out repeatedly, so I would love if instead of going to the main menu I was able to immediately go back in and check out more restaurants! I was thinking maybe if you all wanted to come back to this game, you could have an option to explain what happened on the date and learn for your next date night, so that you can learn how to curate restaurants for your date in future levels, maybe a roguelike? Either way, I hope you all have a great rest of your jam, and thank you for checking out my game!
