How does the game fit the theme?
A game about friends who end up in a maniac's trap and realize that trust is their way to survive.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Nice game! Just needs to be a bit more obvious that someone is calling you
I like how it nailed that "Saw" feel. It was... hard to tell exactly WHO was lying to you when you got the same numbers from different people, or to know where my number came into play in the order. Maybe a few tells or the ability to ask other people to tell you who they think is lying? Still, good job getting this in, congrats on your first jam!
Awesome Game!!! Nice job
Wow the killer have great model and animation!
I figured out that you need to understand if the NPCs are lying, but I haven't felt like I have the tools to know that. I saw that you talked about how it was implemented in the comments and asked for some ideas.
Fitst, I don't think you specified the order of the password. I gueesed that the order is me, and than according to the order in the UI, and it seem to work when everybody told the truth - but it's better to specify it, or just allow to input the numbers in any order
You did specify the numbers are unique, but I someow missed that. This can be emphasized by bold/red/repeat etc
Next, thematically, it wasn't clear who will die if we guesed wrong/right, and who guessed wrong/right. Think about a case where I have 1 other person - it's a classical prisoner delimma - if we both lie, we both die, but it's not clear what happens if we both tell the truth.
One way this can work is if each character have specific rules - always lies, always tell the truth etc - and if after each night, the killer tells you who got it right and who got it wrong, and kills a random person who got it wrong. This way you have some information to work with.
Anyways, great work!
Thank you so much for the honest feedback and advice. Maybe after the jam is over, I'll post a separate file with a better version taking your tips into account.
trading password digits with strangers on the phone is a clever distillation of the theme and the round timer keeps it tense. ui overlaps itself a fair bit, the call menu sits on top of the ok button. rough looks, neat core
The horror style is awesome!
I like the style and vibe of the game! Very fitting, nice job.
Wonderful concept, a bit hard to be honest 😅
I like the UI this game went for, it matches it's vibe. Of course, the implementation of the theme is on-spot!
Small recommendation: Maybe make the scale of the game window a bit bigger on the game page, the UI is a bit congested otherwise (if not maximised).
I see what you were going for here, it's very cool. I will say it's quite frustrating, how are you supposed to discern when someone's lying? In Scam Line, the catch is that you can talk about what other people have told you, here it seems like just a guessing game - please correct me if I'm wrong and just didn't understand. Something to think about. I also think the call UI is too small for being the main mechanic of the game. Other than that a great first submission!
Thanks for the honest comment. Actually, I'm glad for any feedback – that way I can make games better. I'll check out your project soon too. Thanks again)
Cool and simple idea, liked it!
Loved the mechanics, models, and artistic direction! I like how the game functions and how you need to rely on people that may be trustworthy or maybe not, and you instead of being a third party, is a first hand expierencer! Great game! :fire:
cool game
Cool game man loved the visuals and the music.
