How does the game fit the theme?
You can't trust the horde - they all must die!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Everything was created from scratch other than the background music. Proper credit given on the game page for the music.

Fun game! You definitely need to add some enemies with less predictable movement to spice up the challenge. Also, the game starts with Damage Lv. 7 and Movement Lv. 6. Either that's a text bug, or you're really giving us some nice base progression :)
Thanks for checking it out. Yeah, I must have uploaded my JSON test play data.
Seems like I started with some base progression, was that intentional? Definitely fun gameplay loop, very geometry wars vibes. I found after upgrading a bit I could just let the enemies come at me and stay in a spot, and I'd heal enough from their drops to not die. Would be nice post-jam to see some more variety in enemy types and such.
Yeah, definitely needs more balancing amongst other things. Shouldn't have started with any progression unlocked unless I uploaded the JSON with my play test data, not sure if I did or not lol! I agree, needs more challenge. Thanks for checking it out.
Great game. I don't like how the theme is incorperated though.
Thanks for checking it out!
Do they get faster as they get closer to you or im i seeing things, well done pretty fun game
Yeah, they get faster but only for each wave. Hardly noticeable at first. Thanks for playing!
Custom built engine? Very impressive! Simple but fun :)
Thank you, kind friend! Glad you had fun.
Cool game. Not sure how it fits the theme though.
Thanks for trying it out. I agree it doesn't fit well with the theme, gave it a shot though :)
A really cool game—great job!
Thanks for giving it a shot!
This game is SO addictive, congrats!
The gameplay is so good, I wish there were more powerup options, other than just rapid shots. Even though, it was amazing to play, and the sound+music felt incredible. Wonderful!
Thanks for the positive feedback! Glad you found it so addictive as that was the intent lol :)
very addictive game. It could be even more satisfying if the enemies had a little knockback and hit feedback(flashing color) if i hit them with a bullet. Overall great submission!
Thanks for checking it out! Wish I had more time to continue building on it.
Good game :)
Thank you! Glad you like it.
Solid little game for a jam. I don’t get the trust no one theme, but it was fun.
Appreciate it!
Appreciated having a nice little survivorslike. The gameplay loop was solid, the sounds and visuals went well together. Also props for a non godot/unity/unreal engine. I didn't really feel the theme together with it. Maybe if some of the loot pick ups or something couldn't be trusted and would turn out to be enemies? Not sure, honestly. Still, a satisfying little game jam game.
Thanks for giving it a try. I agree with you, it doesn't bode well with the theme. I appreciate the comment though!
Great game! Love how you made it all come together so well, which is not obvious with such minimal approach. And it keeps you in the loop, literally :) Audio and visuals are immersive and fit together with the gameplay. Does it end? I didn't find out, as on the 3rd run, with all purchases maxed, I got a power grid outage somewhere after 30th wave, but it seemed I could go on and on...
Thank you so much for trying it out. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an end. I ran out of time to do more stuff with it. I appreciate your response and appreciation for the minimal approach.
No problem :) Couldn't help myself and started again, finally got bored at wave 46 :D
Dang! I haven't even made it that far lol!
Very solid audio and very impressive for something built with Pygame! I would have loved some more gameplay variety and stronger connection to the theme, however.
Appreciate the comment! Agreed, gameplay needs more too it, glad you tried it out.
I wasn't sure how this would go for me playing on a laptop trackpad without a proper mouse, but the controls still worked well once I got coordinated. I'm not really seeing the tie-in to the theme, and leveraging some of the great free assets out there could have given it some polish, but I had fun! The gold might be a bit too plentiful at the moment as I was able to max out 2 (nearly 3) of the categories after my 2nd run. I also liked that it became more important to selectively pick up drops as the levels get more chaotic to help get through the larger waves.
Thanks so much for your feedback. Super glad it worked for you on your trackpad. I agree with you, it definitely could use some major balancing and polish.
Well done for a game engine-less submission!
Thanks! appreciate the acknowledgement of it being engine-less and glad you checked it out.
this game needed better art, and it also didn't quite fit the theme, sounds were great though
Agreed! appreciate your feedback and glad you enjoyed the sounds.
Fun game and good sound design! Not much of an innovation on the theme. I would love more upgrades that does different things. maybe like a dual bullet or heavy piercing bullets and such to spice up the interactions.
Appreciate the ideas and your time for checking it out. I'll definitely add more later on.
I liked the upgrade system, maxing out magnet first was fun lol. I also really appreciated the visual/audio feedback of the impacts (particles, flashes, sounds, etc).
Nothing was really wrong with the game, just if you've got the time, expansion for more enemies and maybe varied maps could be cool.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback, and for checking it out.
Hi, I played your game and it was fun! it got too hard suddenly and I think it was better if the enemies could also shoot!
