How does the game fit the theme?
Players can help each other's out ! They can push each other, and players can speak together behind the computer... But in the end, only one car wins the race... And players play secretly, so you can betray and be betrayed !
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
A bit of the game structure was made a few days prior
How many people worked on the game?2

Reaaally cool idea! 😄 The turn-based racing concept is super creative and the art style looks sooo good. A small tutorial would help a lot, but this looks fuuuun with friends 😂🏎️
It's an interesting idea, but I played it alone and it felt like some of the racing thrill was lost... It's as if adding a simple algorithm as an opponent for solo players would make it more fun!
Thanks for your comment ! We only had the time to make the game playable for multiplayer only during this jam.. We look forward to continuing the game and AI opponents is something we want to add to the game.
Cool Idea for a game, I never thought of having a turn based race but I like it! I also really liked the art style you used. Some of the ui labels did not line up with the buttons for me, and I would recommend adding a bit of texture to the brown ground on the edges, as currently it can look a bit like the other car is moving backwards instead of you moving forwards. Great job finishing!
Thanks for the feedback !! I'm glad you liked this game idea.. We messed up the ui a bit indeed, when you reduce the page's size, the button visual and text disyncronise.. but the hitbox is around the text no matter what
maybe I just didn't get it but this might need a tutorial. Really would like to play it but since its multiplayer only i cant. The core idea seems really interesting for this jam's theme.
Feels like a neat little party game! Great game, but it’s pretty tough to enjoy alone:D
It would be even better with a bit more engine sounds and a background track.
Haha indeed it's made for multiplayer ! Didn't really have the time to code different ia behaviors like you did ;) I agree, some cool sound design and a moving background would make a big difference !
I could not play; it seems to have a resolution bug on my Apple Air Mac. Only a third of the screen is visible, and unable to launch into full-screen mode
Argh ! That's a shame :/ Maybe try to use the horizontal scrollbar, I know that it can be impossible to reach the fullscreen button without it, and we don't allways think about it on some computers.. I'm sorry for this little bug, it was my first time exporting a game on web format. Thank's for your feedback :)
tried giving it a whirl with my partner- cute idea!! the visual style is very nice :] i do think a little tutorial at the start before inputting the teams and car numbers would be handy <33
Thanks for the feedback ! Yeah I really should've made a tutorial :')
Really charming concept and a great visual style — I especially liked the isometric look mixed with the simple 2D art. I spent the first couple of minutes figuring out exactly what I was supposed to do, but once it clicked, everything made sense pretty quickly. I think a short tutorial would make the start much smoother. Other than that, it’s a really fun concept, especially as a game to play with friends :)
Great ! Happy to hear you liked it ! Indeed this game is better when you play with friends ! And indeed a tutorial would have been great haha
Really Love the visual style~! def took a little to figure out but overall really neat concept!!
Thanks a lot !
Really enjoyed the 2D low poly isometric aesthetic! Almost reminded me of Sims 1 a little bit. Maybe this was something on my side, but is the viewport on your game page like a really high resolution? haha I had to zoom way out to see the full game window.
Thanks for your comment ! Yeah I struggled a bit when I exported the game lol this was my first time doing so.. Hope it didn't alter your experience !
I loved the game's aesthetics. I was a bit confused at first, but I managed to get my bearings. Innovative idea!
Thanks ! Indeed a tutorial really could've been helpful
Really nice idea actually, one idea worth exploring is to put the controls on the keyboard so the players dont need to switch seats, that way the controls would be "hidden" and the rounds could move in parallel.
Ahah ! That's a great idea !! Thanks for the suggestion :D
There’s no tutorial, so I was a little confused at first, but I figured things out after a few tries. Pretty cool idea btw, definitely fun to play with friends!
Thanks a lot ! Indeed I had no time for a tutorial, definitely something I'll be working on in the following weeks
Looking good and I can see the game going further from here. A Singleplayer mode and a short "simulation" like tutorial e.g. going through one cycle, would be great.
Thanks for these ideas ! A SinglePlayer mode would be great indeed, and I consider working on it !!
That was finished last minute, so there are a few missing spots (didn't have the time to make the sound design, the tutorial and cool animations)... I will continue this game so if you have suggestions I'm interested to hear them !
