Cool vibe!

Submitted

nice little game with a clean aesthetic. the visuals and audio feel polished, and the whole “computer desk” vibe works well. the only thing that holds it back is feedback: sometimes you’re not sure if a choice was good or bad, and the trust score doesn’t feel very connected to what you’re doing. adding clearer reactions or consequences would make the characters more memorable and the decisions more satisfying. still a solid papers‑please‑style jam entry. (pls play my game)

While a really simple game on paper, I think the visuals and audio were well done. My only suggestion would be to add more personality to the characters, so they are more memorable.

I really like the aesthetic, minor gripe is a wish there were key shortcuts to jump between the windows. but overall it was fun

Nice game, but it’s a bit text-heavy. I like the idea, but I wasn’t always sure whether I was making good or bad decisions, so maybe clearer visual feedback would help.

Wonderful aesthetic and overall presentation. Navigating around the computer feels good, and makes it very satisfying to go clue hunting for the different requests. My only complaint is that I didn't really feel the impact of my decisions, other than the trust score.

Awesome mini "Paper's Please"-like, in a cool and clear style.

Nice game! I'm not really sure what the trust score thing does though, and I couldn't figure out how to know if I was right or wrong with my answers. Other than that, it had a nice art style and music!

Developer

thank u! the trust score defines what ending u get, and it only gets reduced if u wrongfully excuse someone, so that means u didn’t excuse any liars! (or u just penalized everyone lol xD)

nice aesthetic, papers-please like perfectly fits the theme as well.

also cleanly executed, music could be a bit louder & there could be a bit more content, but that's to be expected in a jam.

good job and good luck,

sincerely, a trusted officer.

Developer

ayee nice work! thank u! i wanted to add way more content but yea, due to time that wasn’t possible ;-; maybe after the jam is over haha

I failed because I excused everyone :( nice game. great choice of color palette and consistent style

Developer

ur too nice to them lol, and thank u!

We had very similar takes on the theme! That’s nice i think a touch of user feedback would keep me playing longer.

Nice work!

Developer(+1)

ahh that’s cool, i’ll check out ur game later too! did u have anything specific in mind abt user feedback? if so lmk, i might work a bit more on this game after the jam so it would be nice to know :)

It is a vibes matter, you know? There’s no set rules. If it was up to me, i think i’d reveal the results of each blame/forgive right on the spot (or at least hint it with sfx or particles).

Also, showing which you got right, and which went off at the score reveal. For the score screen, make it count up with a nice sfx and buildu.

Anyway, that’s just me! Don’t take anything i’m saying too seriously, i’m not an expert in any of this lol

It’s a fun game, I kinda zoned out playing it. Well done!

I love being a dictator and penalizing everyone no matter what!

Nice lil cozy game! The music and the theme of working on the computer reminds me of Dispatch!

I don't know if this is intended, but is the trust score supposed to start at 87? It never changed during my playthrough. Good work!

Developer(+1)

thank u! yes, that’s the starting score, if you had no reductions that means you didn’t wrongfully excuse anyone :)

I liked the game, but I noticed that sometimes my choices are not applied and I need to make them again.

Developer

i think that’s actually the bug where if u re-click an already resolved case e-mail the buttons will show up again when it shouldn’t  ;-; i will work on fixing it. thank u for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I encountered a bug where i could excuse/penalize already done emails every time i reopened the email tab and it counted for the other emails. Don't know if it just happens for me or if it is intended. Strong submission though.

Developer(+1)

oh yes that’s definitely a bug, i will work on fixing it. thank u for playing!

I really enjoyed the game, it's a really cool concept, though I wish I had more easy and quick access to overview all information regarding a suspicious canidate, it's not entirely clear sometimes and I have to back again and again

Developer(+1)

thank u! and i get that, ideally we would have the opened apps on the taskbar and be able to resize windows to make navigation easier but we didn’t have enough time T__T

Hey, if you decide to update it again, reply to me again and I will check it out once more!

Developer

i fixed it! also tried playing ur game but i couldn’t since i’m on mac, also prefer not downloading files but lmk if u end up doing a web build so i can check it out!
