Really fun idea! I liked having to check the dice before shooting instead of just firing at everything. It made the game feel a lot more tense than I expected. The visuals and sound fit the style really well too. I was a bit confused at first about whether I was making the right choices, so a little more feedback could help. Overall, really creative and enjoyable!

The game is good overall. The minimal art palette and spooky music set the perfect mood. However, the core mechanic of killing the dice isn't fully polished yet; for example, sometimes even after killing the correct number of terror dice in the gatehouse, the house doesn't get cleared. The distinct features of the other buildings' terror dice are a nice idea, but they just don't seem to apply properly to the dice. Overall, it's a neat idea, but it needs a bit more mechanical polishing

Thanks. Yeah I agree, like other people mentioned here that there is some feedback missing if you do the right thing which lead to player confusion. There is also some bugs (like the one you mentioned), which lead to more confusion about what to do. But the feedback here is very helpful to improve the game thanks again for playing.

There is something really interesting about the core gameloop, I really think this is something you should work on further. The game was also super responsive, I can't describe why or how but it felt like I was clicking before I could click. Love the two-color palette. I was slightly confused about what I needed to do, so I just kept killing shit, and it worked out haha! Great game.

Developer

Thank you, yeah there are already a few things people mentioned that gives me idea how to improve on it so every feedback is valuable. I hope I can add more variation to the main game loop to keep it interesting.

I really like this minimalist two-color palette.

As mentioned in some previous comments, the feedback when killing a dice isn't very clear.

Neat idea! But I had a really hard time telling if I was shooting the right dice. Without any feedback either level wise or monster wise. I think they are supposed to sound different or the human counter is supposed to go down if you hit a human? Either way you still did a nice job. Nice art too!

sounds and shooting impact is feeling good in the game. loved the design and overall playing ground of your world.  nice idea about sacrifices this is really cool to bound human lifes to bullets like you need to think about every bullet before you shoot.

impact from shooting is really amazing u can really feel every shot, very cool game

Really loved the style and game feel of everything! Simple to grasp, tense to check each dice, fun to swing the gun and shoot!

Great use of a restricted pallet. I'm debating if it would be better if there was a little more feedback about if you shot a terror die or not - the transition seemingly being the same (unless I managed to miss one every time) sort of added to the feel of "Did I succeed or not?" haha. Outside that, I liked the theme and the game has a fun tension. You can also sacrifice the town and just start blastin' too and win which I found hilarious. Great work!

Thanks for the feedback!

I want to change the game a bit: The terror dices make you see normal people as terror dices. so shooting the wrong dice results in

A) losing 1 person
B) Human death scream instead of the monster death scream.

I hope that would help to identify if you shoot the wrong dice.

The transition is a bug. Normally that should only happen if there are terror dices left after you run out of bullets. But because of a coding error it happened even if you killed them all. Which lead to confusion.

But it is a good idea to add a feedback for completing/failing a level.

Cool game! I like the art and audio a lot and the gameplay seems like it could be really cool if more is added to it.

Developer

thanks, I agree. I would like to add more variety to the different buildings in future updates.

I spent way too long waiting for the dice to show the opposite side so I could see if opposite sides added to 7, NOT that any 2 sides added to 7. Once I figured that out it was a great game to play! Very cool visuals and the mechanic is really fun

Thanks for playing. Yeah the instructions could be a bit more clear. I ran out of time to make a proper tutorial. I will add one in a post jam update.

I really like the mysterious music, the shooting effects, and the interesting level design! The whole idea with figuring out which dice are the terror dice is really fun too. Overall, a really great game!

Developer

Thank you :)

Really dig the artstyle of this game! It feels super snappy and responsive, and I enjoy being made to do math quickly lol

Developer

Glad you like the art. I recently started to make all my art by myself instead of using assets so that means alot :)
