The game's art is very pleasing. Both the character and the tilemap are well-polished, creating a very comfortable feel.

I think the dash movement could have been refined a bit more to really capture the sensation of dashing, perhaps adding a particle effect at the end. However, given the constraints of a game jam, it’s understandable.

I had never seen a platformer featuring an NPC helper before. It was fun.

nice quick game, art was really nice, the hit reg was a bit strange as jumping on enemy's heads wouldn't always damage them. The boss health pool is a little to large as it did draw out to the point where i became bored of the game.

A nice simple game with good visuals. Just needed a little variety in the layout and behavior. Good luck

Nice visual and animation. Interaction feels to the point.

I really liked having the instructions written on the wall as you moved along the platform. I was using keyboard-only, and I found that using the arrow keys to move instead of WASD made navigation much easier (only WASD is listed in the controls on your game page, and at first I found it clunky to use that for nav and also use Q/E for attack/dash before I realized the arrows also worked). I don't see a strong tie to the theme, though.

Thanks! The teammate betrays you at the end but I had some bugs so you couldn't see the ending 😅

Great idea! I liked how it was quick and to the point - meet a teammate, beat the boss, they betray you!

I do think the final boss was a little bit like a sponge without much change in behavior.

Either way, great work and I hope you had fun bringing your game to life!

Nice game.  I liked the visuals and it was well animated.  I appreciated the little friend and was suprised at the end.  Is it possible to actually beat him?  I feel like I was fighting for 5min before I gave up.

Developer

Thank you! I made him a bit too powerful at the end oopsie.

A fun experience!

Two small problems: the giant crab started attacking me while the shark was still speaking. And once I had defeated the shark, I was trapped to the left of him and couldn't jump over him. But I imagine that's the end, anyway?

Thank you! Those were some bugs i didn't have time to fix :/ I really liked your game!
