Cozy  little adventure :)

But what if the wizard is right?! What if things are not at all what they seem? It reminded me of the Sunlit Wetlands near the hag in BG3 :)

I liked how you built out the world with different npcs to talk to and enjoyed exploring it. I had a very easy time killing the wizard at the end and initially thought I needed to attack every creature in the dungeon because I had the sword. Great work!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed talking to the villagers (which made the wizard pretty suspicious right after the first one we talked to) and doing the animal puzzle and the maze!

The gameplay was relaxing, although it would be interesting if the attack mechanic was used a bit more in the maze (and it's almost impossible to lose against the wizard lmao). We would also have loved to have some more puzzles before the grand reveal, but other than that, the game is awesome and good job!

I enjoyed playing through this game. I liked the unique dialogue from the various NPC's. I would maybe like to see more of a way to disobey instructions, since you're kind of forced to do what you're told. I also think adding some more unique UI elements (such as fonts) would help a lot to make the visuals feel a little more complete. Still though, good job!

Nice fun game....Kinda relaxing after trying out much darker ones

Absolutely loved collecting cows and sheeps hehe

The fonts, animations and UI could use a little bit of work though, especially for the quest ui on the left corner..it doesnt really match the otherwise colorfully awesome vibe of the game..But yeah, in terms of gameplay I absolutely enjoyed it

nice storyline fits the theme well the ui for the subtitles or dialogs could be better animations are not bad ı think it has an own character for the game nice for a solo game developer

This is the most charming game I've rated so far!

Some constructive feedback:

  • For topdown/2.5D games, one technique you could do is to sort the rendering by their Y position, so that sprites near the top of the screen are rendered at the back. (Check out this video)
  • I think the background music had some sort of positional audio setting since the more I move to the left the more it pans to the right, and vice versa. Not a big deal though.
  • Some of the collisions still felt off, but I didn't get stuck at all anywhere like others mentioned and managed to complete the game, so great job on fixing that

Other than that, loved the graphics, the level/map designs, and the chill background music, which fits well with the overall vibe of the game. I wish we could attack the enemies in the dungeon level, I wandered around the entire map trying to fend them off before finally finding the wizard 😂

Keep it up!

Developer

thank you so much! :DD

Great art style! Only feedback i have is with the collisions and maybe adding some background audio (as other people have said). But other than that its overall a pretty good game

Developer

yep thank you very much!

I think I made a mistake and trusted them...
Love animation of rotating
Is collider on grass also part of theme?

Developer

thank youu and nope the collider on grass wasn't actually part of it hahah i made a few mistakes there

The visuals were super adorable! Excellent choice!

People have already mentioned the UI and collision issues, but I had fun exploring the world! The wizard was untrustworthy, just like the villagers said!

(I'll be petitioning the council of pixelated wizarding elders to revoke his membership forthwith.)

Developer

thank you so much! :D

super cute game design! keep it up !

Cute but wasnt sure how to get past the 2nd stage, colliders are very wierd too, need full screen option, also should maybe but some background audio

Developer

noted! thank you!

The mechanics and quests work as intended, but as others mentioned, the collisions are a bit janky—especially in the second level and around the grass sprites, where it's easy to get stuck. The UI text could also use a contrast boost for better readability, and adding some background music would take the vibe to the next level.
Loved the cute visuals and the story!

Developer

yes, all noted! thanks a lot :)

Super cute game! I had some issues with collisions on the second level. All of your mechanics seemed to work as intended. Great job!!

Developer

thank you very much!
