How does the game fit the theme?
No one can be trusted at Trust Fall Summit during the annual snowball fight. The whole idea of the game is that everyone on the mountain is a potential target, so you never really know who is going to throw the next snowball at you. The theme fit pretty naturally with the name Trust Fall Summit and the idea of not being able to trust anyone around you.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used a purchased pixel art snow tileset by Snoblin for some of the environment art. Everything else was made by me during the jam, including the characters, animations, pixel art, overall design, code, and music. I used Godot for the game, Aseprite for the pixel art and animations, and DefleMask for the music. The asset pack is credited in the game.

nice game gameplay is pretty fun. but the embient music was too loud. art style was nice and enemy overall game world building design. this game reminded me of a friv games from 2010s ... nice work.
Thanks for taking the time to play! I know it was my first time making music with DefleMask. I’ll definitely have something’s to fix after the jam. I’m not sure what friv is… I’m familiar with newgrounds. But yeah thanks again!
Very simple and cute! I like it a lot and the art is really nice :D
Thank you for taking the time to play, and the kind words. It’s much appreciated :)
This reminds me of that Ski game for Windows 3.x haha. The snowball fight was a nice mechanic but punishing with the OHK. The retro graphics and music fit nicely too, though I didn't see the connection to the theme. Nice entry!
Thank you! I grew up playing a lot of those old DOS and Windows games, so the SkiFree comparison definitely brought back some memories. I was going for that old school feel with the graphics and music. For the theme, I was trying to play into the idea of “trust no one” by making everyone on the mountain a potential threat, since the raccoons, moose, and skiers are all trying to hit you with snowballs and you never really know where the next one is coming from. I appreciate the feedback though, and thanks for playing and taking the time to comment!
Such a cute game!!! I really enjoyed the gameplay of throwing people around while dodging everything at the same time!
If this were a mobile game, I could honestly play it all day XD
I especially loved the raccoon throwing snowballs on the side of the road and the moose guards! I also really loved the way the main character falls over XDDD
Overall, such a fun game!! I'd love to see what it would be like with even more features added in the future!!
Thank you so much!! I’m really glad you enjoyed it! The raccoon and moose were some of my favorite characters to make, and I had way too much fun with the Yard Sale animation 😂 I’ve actually been thinking about doing a limited-time expansion after the jam and possibly starting a Kickstarter for it, so it’s really cool to hear you’d like to see more features! And hearing that you could play it all day as a mobile game is a huge compliment. Thanks for playing and for such a kind comment!!
Nice cute arcady game, it has sort of a comfy vibe that makes it feel really nice.
The sprites are super well done and the gameplay is quite solid (the snowballs while moving is a little quirk that adds a layer of difficulty, that's cool)
I enjoyed it, good job!
Thank you! I’m really glad you enjoyed it! I put a lot of work into the sprites and was really happy with how they turned out. And yeah, throwing snowballs while moving was definitely meant to make things a little trickier haha. I really appreciate you playing and taking the time to leave such a nice comment!
superfun, soft and cute art style, good project!
Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for taking the time to play my game!
Rip my ears.
damn super cute gameplay with super cute graphics. Great work
Thanks :) I put a lot of effort into characters and everything. It being my first game jam, appreciate it!
Cute game! It sort of gives me nostalgia to some old web games i played as a kid.
That's definitely what I was going for, I love simple pick up and play games, Thanks for the kind words, and taking the time to play!
I really enjoy the retro feel of this one. Nevertheless, the gameplay feels like need more feature. Also more polish on the throw mechanic, expecially the side throw. Overall, nice submission to this jam. I like it!
Thank you for the feedback I really appreciate it! I will definitely expand on the game and polish it after the game jam is over.
Pixel art is really nicely done, and the music is great! Enjoyed playing this one, great job, especially for a first jam :D
Thank you so much I put a lot of effort into this, so I really appreciate that. Thanks for taking the time!
Really great endless runner! This game needs a high score system!
Thank you for taking the time to play! Yes high score counter or a distance tracker!
Cool concept, art fits and I could see the effort you put into it. A bit off theme maybe, but you did a great job! <3
Thanks! I really enjoyed making it and put a lot of hard work into the art, so I’m glad you liked it. I was curious though, what made it feel a bit off theme to you? Thanks for playing!
It's not about being off-theme, but more about being a bit generic. The game is enjoyable on its own like any solid runner, but theme-wise, the 'trust' aspect isn't really the core of the game. They end up feeling like standard enemies, obstacles, or random hazards rather than a betrayal of trust
Ahh, I see what you mean. I went more for the idea of everyone on the mountain being out to get you rather than making trust itself a direct mechanic, so I can see how that might come across differently. Thanks for explaining, I appreciate the feedback, thanks for taking the time!
Loved the art and the movement very fun. I tried to finish it for 45 minutes but couldn't do it. I tried abusing the stopping mechanic but even that couldn't get me the win. when you full stop you can let the up key for a very short time and move left or right then hold up key again . that way you essentially don't move forward at all but you move sideways. I believe the hitboxes can be a bit smaller on the trees. A lot of times it feels bad when you hit close to the top of the tree from behind.Well done tho great project!
Thank you! I’m really glad you enjoyed the art and movement! I can’t believe you spent 45 minutes trying to finish it haha. I really appreciate the feedback on the tree hitboxes too. I was trying to make them a little forgiving so you could squeeze through tight spaces, but I may have gone a little too far with some of them. Thanks for playing and for the great feedback!
Love the visuals, the gameplay is fun. Good job !
Thank you! I put a lot of time into the visuals, so I’m really glad you liked them. Glad you had fun with it too, thanks for playing!
Outstanding pixel art and animations. Adorable. Had fun playing this on stream today! Thanks for stopping by and sharing it. Reminds me of playing SkiFree back in my computer class in middle school. :)
Thank you so much for playing it on stream! It was really cool getting to watch someone else play it. The SkiFree comparison definitely took me back, I grew up playing a lot of DOS games too. Really appreciate you stopping by and sharing it! :)
I enjoyed it!
I'm glad you did, thank you for taking the time to play!
Nice game, simple to learn and fun to play, good work!
Thank you I really appreciate that, being that it's my first game game and what not!
It really brings back memories of the old arcade games. The snowball not being straight when turning makes it more challenging.
Thank you for playing!
I really appreciate how authentic that felt. This could really be an NES game, really well done. The animation was satisfying and the pixel art was professional.
The music fit very well with the theme of the game and the style, authentic chiptune track (the authenticity enhanced by the limited number of channels used). I think it could be perhaps made more modern with more sophisticated harmony but that's a style choice and would fit less with the game. I would definitely add drums though.
Also the game was super tough lol. I could survive more than a few minutes
Thank you so much! Hearing that it could be an NES game is a huge compliment, especially since that proper retro feel was something I was really going for with the whole project. I made the music myself in DefleMask using Game Boy style samples and tried to keep it simple and authentic to that era, so I’m really glad that came through. The actual game play music has drums, but Game boy samples aren't definitive enough I guess to come through all of the other noises coming through :p
And yeah, the game is definitely tough lol. I didn’t want to make it too easy, but I might have pushed it a little too far. I could probably let up on the difficulty a bit. I really appreciate you taking the time to play and give such detailed feedback!
