Quite enjoyable, slightly unsettling (in a good way) as others have said so it hits the theme. Sound mixing could've used a little more refinement, npc dialogue was often quite loud in the mix compared to other sounds, and the ambient drone in the background gets old quick. Other than that its good, dialogue system is cool and the game's aesthetic lends itself well for what's going on
This game was incredibly unsettling in a good way. I always felt like I was seeing glimpses of things out at the very edges of view distance. The level design was really interesting, felt like I was in the backrooms/scp all at once. I really enjoyed the game but I definitely thought I softlocked myself more than once. I kept going through the elevator which would reset my gun and it also relocked some of the doors but the padlocks weren't visible. I found the chair in the corner of the meeting room humorous and I thought everything looked really gross in a very good way. The characters in particular freaked me out. I also shot the doctor and then came back after taking the elevator and he was back and then when I found out I didn't need him, I blasted him anyway and he dropped the key I already had haha. Anyway great work on this.
I particularly liked the dialogue system and choices. Initially it felt a little annoying to have to press space to select an option but I got used to it. I've also run into issues with the lag upon a scene load in webgl games. My solution was to hide the scene with a UI element and then spin the camera around/swing it through the scene so everything gets preloaded, then hide the UI element. I treat it as a preload. Anyway after everything was loaded it was very performant.
Thank you for playing, I'll have to address the bugs before the 48 hour period is up. Thanks for reporting them!
4/5
Thank you for playing!
Really enjoyed this one! The atmosphere does a great job of making you feel like something is definitely not right, and I loved the way the game slowly builds that tension without overdoing it. The environment also has a really nice creepy vibe. I also made a game with similar graphics!
Thank you for playing!
Really unsettling game, tho very fun aswell!
I made a project for university once that had this style, kinda reminds me of it, but with more content and more things to do!
This game gave me chills throughout. When I read the note at first. When I saw the prisoner. AND THEN I SAW A PADLOCK FROM THE INSIDE? HOW DID IT GET INSIDE WTF? I loved this game. I really think you should work on it more, or explore more of this genre, you have a talent for it.
Thank you so much for playing!
This game was way too much for me; gave me absolute chills. And once I let the guys loose, it was game over—they beat the living daylights out of me. I shot my first bullet right at the door of Donny's place at the entrance; it honestly made sense to me at the time. Then I shot Donny himself. Long story short, I just ended up getting beat down haha!
Thanks for playing! Ivan loves Donny and he will get his revenge if you kill him.
Can't wait to check out your game tonight.
Love the visuals of the game!
Thank you for playing!
very nice ambience I didn't find additional ammo - first reaction was to shoot all bullets in the door :) - because " Guns are dangerous". Good game
Thanks for playing! Love your games aesthetic.
I get quite afraid. The ambiance is cool, I died after freeing everyone, it make me want to came back later to try to finish it.
The absence of music is sad and the controls are bad, we want to right click for interact
Great game and really spooky setting.
I enjoyed playing it a ton!
Besides some occasional freezes on the second floor, it worked buttersmooth. (Could be me though)
Well done!
Good visuals/gameplay!
My game lagged out, because I'm on a potato
Thanks for playing, sorry to hear about it lagging out.
Good short horror game!
I'm big fan of the settings that are just deluxe quit button version.
Thanks for playing!
Lmao, yeah time hit us like a rock and we didn't get to add the actual settings. Not even enough time to remove it.
npcs that mislead you in a dark facility is a solid fit, and those red lit corridor shots look genuinely tense
Thank you for playing! Palmed is genuinely impressive!
Crazy good visual style and atmosphere. I appreciate the simple exploration and story around these environments, it all comes together very nicely for an unnerving experience! Well done!
Thank you so much for playing. Love your Spelunky profile pic.
Can't wait to check your game out!
I really like this game and think all categories are executed well! Had fun playing it and the atmosphere is really awesome!
Thank you for playing! Glad everything worked properly, having some issues with the web build!
As someone who once tried (and failed) to paint a beautiful meadow, I’m genuinely impressed. 😄 The graphics, sound, and level design really work together beautifully.
P.S. I had some trouble looking around in the browser version — I couldn’t fully look around the room
Thanks for playing!
Sorry for the browser problems, I'm patching it today to get it working properly so people can play.
High five! ✋ I had to upload a patch too. I’ll definitely come back to play this again!
Gameplay was alright, some common jam issues like game not properly resetting after winning and returning to title screen and a door with a padlock that can open regardless but overall fine if a little easy and the theming worked well.
I found the audio when dying to be too loud, but otherwise everything was decent.
Thanks for playing, I'll have to fix the resetting issues
