How does the game fit the theme?
On the one hand you simply cannot trust anyone and need to think very well before you give out a loan (based on the hints and just general feel and what the NPCs say)
On the other hand there is the twist where you have to trust No One the genie in order to rescue your beloved cat.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The art and music are both from the unity assets store, other than that, all the programming and building the map itself using the asset was done by us.

The character sounds are really nice! :) It was fun to play. I missed one honest customer, though, so I couldn't pay the ransom. Nice game!
Thank you for the kind words and I am glad you had fun! Unless there is a bug we didn't catch you should be able to win even when missing multiple customers however duo to the time limit we didn't manage to implement a system that tells you how many honest customers you missed and how many liars you avoided so it can be a bit confusing.

Wow, one of the more visually appealing games I've tried so far, all the art, animations etc just beautiful!
Sound and music also really good, and the riddles were fun. Pretty short game but that's to be expected with only a week and I prefer having quality over quantity so I think you did an amazing job!

Sorry, my wording was off. I meant that I'm short 10 gold, which seems to be about one honest customer short. I think.
Thanks for trying out my game too! I had a similar issue not long ago, and it disappeared after 24 hours.
The game was so original! A bit easy in progression but those moral challenges with runaway costumers were making me feel guilty lol. Nice visuals and absolutely great voice acting. Best of luck for your team.

This game gave me retro, PS2 style vibe and I loved it!
Shooting zombies was very satisfying, the audio matched the retro visuals and the whole vibe was spooky in the best of ways
I will mention however that I experienced a few lag spikes, but I still really enjoyed my time.
Also I didn't manage to find the secret ending :( but at least I got to have Derek save me :D

Hey thanks for playing it! Yeah the web port stutters at the first run. I've changed the renderer to Forward+ for desktop ports so there should be no problem with downloaded version. Glad that you liked! I was having same problem last night (itch didn't let me comment anything) and I totally understand. Thanks again for giving it a try!

The controls feel very smooth and drifting is crisp.
The music really fit the visuals, and the UI is awesome and has a great retro feel to it, which was really calming but also I was extremely stressed because of the cars chasing me so that was a great balance xD
Also you get bonus points for giving me a nostalgia trip as this game reminded me of an old game I used to play, called FFX Runner :D

Yay I got mittens back and I'm not a nerd!
Fun little puzzle game. Very chill time and I liked the length, not too short and didn't outstay its welcome.
The dialogue was entertaining, I liked the meta references like having to decline anyone wanting money for anything remotely to do with cat ransoms.
The SFX for voices were so good, the alien in disguise voice absolutely cracked me up.
Maybe you could approach a genie-backed loan shark to borrow budget for a logo next time?
