Very fun! Though there are a few lag spikes but that might just be a me problem!

How does the game fit the theme?
Seriously, trust no one in the Trusty Super Market! Well, except for Derek.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Visuals: Most of the super market level models and textures, playable character and NPC models. Weapons' models and textures. Locker's animation.
Sounds: Pistol and Shotgun sound.

Programming and music were done by me from scratch.

superfun to play! Solo dev so powerfull xD
Very good project!
My browser crashed when I clicked to proceed then I reloaded the browser and was good. I liked the shooting mechanic but was having browser performance issues and could not get very far. I do not have a great PC so it could be GPU issue.
Nice game, the camera zooms in on the player when there's a wall behind tho, but the atmosphere overall was really good thanks to the music build up, although the music stopped playing at some point and broke the immersion xd
The concept was great, the gameplay was a bit hard at the start but it was okay after I found the shotgun, also, please make the fullscreen feature available in itch io screen as well, doing it in the setting can be somehow buggy. The game was also laggy at some points, especially when I turned on the flashlight. Great Game overall. Great Job
The game is a very used conecpt to say, but the phones are something new to me for sure. You need to work on your sound design and the enemies kill you a bit too fast... But I must say you made me feel like doomguy after I got the shotgun so I was very happy! :)
The game was quite fun to play the atmosphere was very nice. Though some sounds for the enemies would have made it even better. But a fun game none the less.
Finally, a weapon in my hands that can actually one-shot enemies! I really liked the game overall, but there were a few things I felt were lacking:
- Tone down the cursor assistance/aim assist a bit; it feels a little too heavy, and the direction the character faces is slightly misaligned with where the cursor actually points.
- The character movement feels a bit too stiff/clunky.
- It lagged pretty heavily for me during the initial load.
Other than that, didn't feel like anything was missing. Great job!
Thanks for giving it a try and giving feedback! I am already working on the game. The laggy startup is fixed on desktop downloadable ports. Unfortunately the web port hardly can be fixed because it runs on OpenGL. Also fixed the aiming, enemy hitboxes and attack and worked on player movement animations. All gonna be included in first post jam update!
Best of luck! I'd love to play the game again once the jam is over.
Also, about the monster spawns: they seem to just appear out of nowhere right now. It might feel a lot better if they broke in through windows or gaps instead. Like, when I leave a room, they could start banging on the glass, and maybe I could barricade/reinforce the windows before moving on. Just tossing some ideas out there, man!
Really nice game, I loved the atmosphere the only thing was that my laptop was freezing from now and again which made it hard to play but that is probably a me issue. Great work!
Liked the game a lot. I would definetly add a sound to the enemies, and add more calls from strangers.
very cool game. i enjoyed it a lot. the atmosphere's very good too.
it reminds me a lot of resident evil, was that an inspiration for you?
it's impressive you made this from scratch in just 1 week! congrats :D
ohhhhhhhhh yeah!! the tutorial reminded me a lot of those instagram reels that give you instructions on how to act in horror scenarios. that's true, i forgot mentioning that.
and yeah, i could tell you were inspired by resident evil, but you gave it your own touch. keep working on it and i'm sure it'll become an amazing game!
Cool solo project. I finished it the normal way by leaving with Derek. Than tried to press enter on the first phonecall. A very hard enemy spawns at the door. Is it beatable? I shot it 8 times with the pistol and it didn't die.
Nice game! I struggled a bit with glitches where it would freeze for a bit. Seemed to get better further into the game.
Your game is really good, it reminds me a lot of GoldenEye on the Nintendo 64.
I love low poly PS1 games and I like graphics in this game but it needs much more better tutoral and particles
I'm a sucker for lowpoly psx style games and this one is very well made 5/5 for visuals, enjoyed the gameplay too, gj!
