Fun concept of combat! It took me some time to figure out how to win, since i just ending rounds because Loki did not have any cards. After a while, I figured out I could actually lower his health by attacking him with the cards. (A bit of a tutorial might help with that) Overall, the game was fun!
Great creativity! Looking forward to future updates!
シンプルに戦えて面白かった! しかし、こういうゲームでAが弱めになっているのは不思議な気持ちです。役で強化とかあったら楽しそう!
I am the creator of the main track for Loki, so I might be a bit biased, but I did like it. I didn't know I was supposed to attack Loki or the opposing cards myself at first, but it was fun once I got the hang of it, so a tutorial card would have been nice since I know we couldn't implement a tutorial battle. And, weren't the cards supposed to do more, or did I simply just get lucky enough for that to not happen somehow.
I can't give it a rating because I didn't personally submit anything, so I give it a 3.9/5
We like the concept but something felt missing maybe Loki could have messed with your cards. We were engaged enough to see the health bar reach its end.
Really cool card game!!
Seems like a cool game, and I like card games like this, but I was just doing random things in the beginning trying to figure out how to play, haha. It could definitely do with a tutorial, but I think this is good starting place to build from. Nice work.
Good job going for something complex like a card game for your first jam! As other comments mentioned a tutorial or explanation would go a long way but other than that really nice entry :D
It's a fun game, though it took me some time to understand how to play. Maybe adding a short tutorial would help!
Nice game, It was very fun to play once i got the hang of it

Fun and simple game. However, some indication for drawing cards would be nice. I realized I should manually draw cards on my second try, while I got destroyed on my first try without knowing this :D
I have removed the 10+ rule as i belive it over balanced the game as the high boss health already balances it
Impressive for first jam, it's simple but fun, just agree with the previous comment on the user experience part.
Wow I wasn't expected the game to be so addictive! Great gameplay loop. I was losing the track of time. Cool visuals and nice music. Congrats on your first ever jam entry!
Great as for the first Jam, but work more on user experience(add some minimal tutorial and introduction)
thanks for the feedback i would add a tutorial but im planning to continue on this game after the jam as i cant add any updates and such due to jam rules
Great Concept! Really liked playing it. Poker in the style of a game like this is really nice.
poker meets combat is a fun mashup, and the hand shifting on you between turns sells the theme better than most entries here.
made a card game too . kinda crazy Balatro vibes, LOL Good job keeping yours so simple man. /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4950346
quite a nice gameplay loop!
not sure if you know but in the description it says you can only draw 1 card a turn i was able to draw until i had 5 cards in my hand,
also the other rule in the descripiton of only having 1 10+atk card out didnt apply in game
The draw thing is intentional as you can choose not to but it carries over to the next round if you don't to balance the gameplay. I had some difficulty with the 10+ card mechanic but I will fix it soon thx for supporting the game.
if it helps the main way of getting around the 10+ limit is click a 10> card then it lets be place the <10
Thanks for telling me the issue now I know exactly where the problem lies/genuine
thanks for bringing this up as i now understand that it unbalances the game
