How does the game fit the theme?
The granny needs the nephews to complete the game (double jump, throw at enemies, use for defense), but overusing the nephews will cause them to break your trust and push you causing you to lose control.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
None

How many people worked on the game?
4

Throwing kids off screen into outer-space and smacking things with my granny walker were highlights of my game jam. Thanks!

Cool idea, you don't get to be a grandma every day!

You cannot even trust grandma these days.

The knitting idea can be expanded into making shields or special abilities to fight the final boss. I would recommend moving the camera further or keep the action within the screen so I can see where to land when I jump.

What a bizarre concept. Definitely have seen nothing like this core game play in this jam so far. The controls didn't feel quite intuitive but the idea of the combat system is so weird that I just love it.

I really like the idea of giving party members power-ups but then not being able to trust them as much, but it's not really explored to its full potential here. Also those damn germs are way too close to the ground, I couldn't see them at all when I jumped across a gap.

Funny game idea.. There are maybe a bit too much controlls, you could have mapped them on the mouse maybe ?

You're definitely right, we assigned WASD E/R/Tab so we could play it with one hand while building it. But it became so intuitive it never occurred to us to change that. Thanks for the tip!

Lmao, so your take on the theme is that a grandma trusts no one in an asylum? XD
