I love all the varied minigames, but the arm in the hole game was a particular stroke of genius. Only thing missing here is a soundtrack!

Is that like their arm going through the maze? That's so funny lmao

Pretty endearing game! It's a comfy one for sure. I think actually not having music playing at all times is a good design choice, even if it wasn't intentional? I would've loved a little bit more lore by checking the place around (Or maybe i just didn't find any lol that's on me). I actually think it's one of the better uses of the second theme i've seen so far.

Quite satisfying, art is good. I wish cashier does not run away on every item :) Good job!

Great job! It was fun to play, and that snake arm especially got me! Great colors and pixel art. The sea is just a little bit too loud, and some background music would round it out!

I really liked several parts of this game.  The funniness of the twisting arm finding the objects, all the cleaning and repairing mini-games, etc.   It's all very well put together with the narrative.

Using Safari, I got an error after the title screen: [Error] Loading FSB failed for audio clip "text".

I'm guessing this is a sound effect that's supposed to play when text is drawing to the screen.  It doesn't stop the game from working (aside from maybe that audio clip).

What a fun and cute short game! Really enjoyed playing it all along.

The gameplay loop is fun, the pixel art is nice... had a great time playing it!

I wish there would be a longer version in the future!

Cool game. Congrats!!!

This is a very relaxing and fun game. I quite enjoyed the gameplay variety with searching, cleaning, and repairing the items. The graphics are superb, and the color palette is great. Awesome job!

I loved the graphics - the waves at the beach, the extendable arm, the screen transitions, the close-up shots inside the pawn shop... all very beautifully made.

It’s a really cool mechanic for searching for items with this extendable arm. Moreover, the algorithm for dealing with items after they’re found (washing, repairing, etc.) is very interesting. But the interpretation of the theme is extremely superficial.

Awesome game! This felt just like something you'd pick up a GameBoy for. The sounds, the pacing - all very retro and chill. The mechanics are great so you could definitely flesh this out into a longer project if you wanted!

Beautiful game! I played all the way and the game loop is really good. I always have something to do. I also love that there is no timer, that fits the cozy feeling. I would love to play a longer version of this game with more things to the in the pawn shop over time.

Great Work!

Such a bittersweet colour palette.

The graphics in this game are great! Nice palette too.

The giant arm reaching for the item is a nice touch lmao.

Unfortunately, when I tried to fix an item, the tweezers were missing, locking me out :(

The core gameplay loop is very well done!

Very nice and enjoyable experience. The maze-arm is hilarious, and the washing of the item very satisfying. Well done!

It would be nice to know the progress…first I didn’t realize that I can dig out several items at once, so I went back and forth to the shop.

Really nice looking game. loved how you guided the player through the whole process of finding and selling items

Nice game with a sad twist. In my opinion (music junkie) a BGM would have delivered so much vibes, yet a nice cozy game.

A pretty enjoyable game.

I really liked all the mini-games for prepping items for sale. The color palette is great, too—it really gives off a Game Boy vibe.

I’d love to see a soundtrack and a money mechanic added to the game. It would also be good if the hand snapped back to the start position after an incorrect turn while searching for an item; that would introduce a risk of making a mistake.

Really fun game! I had a great time playing it, and I especially liked the art style.

I would have liked some kind of score or progress indicator, just to have a better idea of how close I was to reaching the end.

A lovely game ! The art is great and varied and having so many different mini-games was ambitious but everything worked well ! I laughed out loud when the lady just shoved her 8m arm in the sand, that was a bit unexpected !

I also loved all the different object sprites and the smooth transitions.

Optional observations / constructive criticism if you'd like to continue working on this game after the jam :

  • I would have liked a soft indicator to see the money I earned vs the money I had to make (maybe a chest getting filled or something like that)
  • The sound of the waves is lovely and on the beach the audio is perfect as-is, but in the shop I would have liked some background music for the clients and me :)
  • In the washing mini-game, I struggled a bit to see why some particles were washed and not others below them, I would have appreciated an indicator to better see what I was doing. Maybe the particles start to shake when they're under the water ? or maybe that's just a me problem ^^

I had a great time, thank you very much !
