Thanks a lot!! Wait, I just realized you're the one that made it hahahahaha.
It is indeed!
Do you want more credits or is it nice the way it is right now?
Mhh, really interesting, I'll consider the dilemma mechanic for the update, sounds really good!!
The monster is *d a n y* (gotta make it hard to read if anyone who hasn't played the game yet reads this haha), and the only "clue" there could've been is that he hides his name, a name that you absolutely need to report him to the police. I'll definitively add more detective features to the game. Thanks again for your feedback.
I'll play your game tomorrow, as it's 11pm here already.
To me, it's one of the best game of the gamejam.
It felt like a completed game ; there are tasks, you can interact with people and ask them questions about specific objects that you need to find in the mansion, and the plot twist at the end on the murderer's true identty!! Keep up the great work.
Truly an amazing game.
That's interesting. It's one of the things I thought about when I was making the game, I wanted to add more elements and make it more "serious" since there isn't really any actual hint to who's the monster. I made them all really suspect, and I didn't really have time to add a more detective aspect to the game.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, it's really valuable.
I thought about adding a phone or something to make you able to call the police to report whenever you want, but just once. I'll probably add it in an update. Again, thanks for testing out the game and for your feedback :D
We've reviewed 30+ games right now (and we are still reviewing even more games!), but still haven't reached the 20 minimum reviews to be "win-eligible". Could you please test out our game ?
We'll do our best to rate your games too if you respond to this topic. Thanks a lot in advance :)
PS : I don't know if the game will be shown under this message, so I'll write its name : The NYC Detective.
Nice little game! I would've loved to see more of the theme inside of the game (like a 4th type of villager, that might lie so it makes the game harder, while still making the game possible to win).
Loved the graphics, and the audio is great too! Overall, very nice entry :D
If you have some time, please check out my game too :)
AMAZING game!
The only thing was that after some time, the game felt laggy / the performance went down, maybe it's due to the fact that it's a web build. Because of that, the music sounded super weird and I had less time to react to enemies spawning.
I think it's one of the most innovative game I've ever seen in a jam, so good job!! The login mechanic is smart & the community driven progress is such a great idea.
I really loved the game! Good job :)
Well... I tried to play but I just couldn't guess the key? I don't know if I was supposed to find clues or just do trial and error but I didn't really want to spend 10mins trying different keys. I was able to use the help button tho!
Could you spend a few mins to try out my game! That would be very kind :)
Ahh the colliders, thanks for pointing it out. I'll try to shrink them down a bit in a future update.
I tried to make the player know to suspect people ASAP by writing "before the monster finds you." in the tutorial, but maybe it wasn't clear enough ? I'll find a way to make it clearer how you should play the game.
Thanks a lot for the feedback!
The movement is the feedback I received the most, so thank you for pointing it out again, it really means I have to modify this.
About the police report, I think I might change the time of the day to the morning (so the first report is earlier in the game) and add some sort of phone where you can report just once but whenever you want.
Thanks a lot for testing the game!!
Nice interpretation of the jam theme!
I think you should make it so the window moves a bit when you select/reject a message, because otherwise there's no feedback on whether the game "took the info" or not (especially since the game is played in a computer).
The graphics are great but i didn't hear any sound? I don't know if that's just from me or if the game doesn't have music / SFX.
Overall good submission.
Good submission but the position of the camera made it hard to see enemies before they're right in your face, that made the game less enjoyable because I just had to spam space to defeat the monsters.
Also, the game ran a bit poorly, I think this is mainly because of the 2D lights from unity (+ Unity 6).
In my opinion you could improve the looks of the game by making all of your sprites / tiles the same pixel per unit.
Other than that, since you made the game all by yourself, I think you did okay!
Really nice game!
I enjoyed the gameplay, maybe at some point it was a bit too repetitive but it's probably just because of my ruined attention span hahaha
Pulling the notes & comparing the signatures / fonts / ect. made the game really interesting.
Sadly, I didn't have music at all (but I saw that there WAS music in the credits at the end so idk what happened).
Anyways, amazing submission to the jam!!
