I was annoyed coz like an hour or two before the deadline, I got the mixamo blender add on setup so you can animate with a control rig, and I was like "ah, if only I'd known earlier," ... then I spent like probably a whole day failing to animate a person kneeling down from standing.

In Godot, there was just an option for web build. The only curious thing I had to google to fix, is apparently you have to name your game html file "index" when you export it. Then zip, upload, and tick the little box saying "playable online" or whatever it was.
The minimalism was partly to emphasise the "exposed" nature of being "out in the open" ... but also influenced by my lack of modelling skills (having a main character be a giant sphere also helped here!).
Shoebox is right! The square platforms are actually setup to be added infinitely, I was just going to let the player request a new one to be added by interacting with any wall... but then it would've made hiding from the eye easy coz you could've just run really far in a straight line, not particularly interesting. Then I never got around to adding the hiding part in either. 🤷
A great idea, on theme, executed pretty well especially if you had such limited time! Legally-aged-girl-scouts, outdoors, escalating levels of horniness, very nice start, looking forward to seeing how you intend to develop it, and bugs ironing out... and hopefully some changes to flesh out the gameplay loop (like I get that incremental costs are a staple of game-mechanics, but omg they've deforested the Amazon to build the world's biggest bonfire so that three people can spin a bottle three times then go back to watching one person chop wood).
I wasn't particularly engaged by it, but then I wasn't a fan of the Pokemon games and never played them, so I feel like maybe this just isn't aimed at me. I do like the cumpanion idea! Not quite sure how her flashing was meant to be an issue in a turn-based battle but not complaining, woud've liked to see more interactions with her as for most of it she was just kinda there. Is it spying if she's deliberately turned on her webcam? I didn't really get the "stuck" bit either as presumably either could just turn off the game... but that game was mostly outdoors, and she's somewhat out in the open herself, so seems themey enough for me. And making all that in a week must've been tough, but you did a great job! Very impressive.
The game itself was pretty good! But seemed somewhat generic, nothing really stood out to me as novel (not that I've played a lot of these RPG type games, so maybe I just didn't appreciate the fine-tuning you'd done). And while it all looked nice, there were a few moments, like I did quests but then couldn't find anyone to turn them in to? So I never saw what level up did, but didn't need it to beat Grok anyway. Seems like there's currency that you don't earn, so I guess it's ok that there's a shop that doesn't sell anything. Theme-wise... yep, they're out in the woods, and stuck together, figurateively, in that no one else wanted to buddy up. I did try for a second playthrough given you mentioned replayability but seemed to be fairly similar to the first so I moved on.
All of which reads kinda negatively, sorry, but like I said, it was overall actually a prety good game, especially for a solo jam project, like it's really cool that you managed to put all that together! :-D
There's definitely spying. Are they stuck together? He's stuck in the dorm, I suppose they're stuck with him being there, I assumed they could still leave. But those were optional themes, the main theme was Out in the Open, I don't really get that from this game. Buuut... animtated explicit sex scene right off the bat to get me hooked, straight into one-man-in-an-all-girl's-dorm setup like it's a harem hentai. A few rough edges but generally very polished game, and an intriguing setup, certainly!
It took me way too long to realise you're suppose to click on the sides of the screen to move around. -_-
That said, once I'd figured out that and that the monster is sometimes in the investigation spot, it all made a lot more sense. A proper atmospheric game, funky monochrome art, even the audio kinda gave me a nostalgic retro game feel. Definitely out in the open, depending on how open the trees are (and much time you spend hiding!), replayable,.. I didn't get the stuck or spying so much but meh, they're optional anyway. The only thing I couldn't really rate highly on was horniess - I haven't heard of teratophilia , "monster kink" yes but usually in the context of monsters breeding rather than just kililng. I hate to yuck someone's yum, but, personally, it's just not yummy. Great horror game, though! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Stood out in the open with dick in hand, cum over everything and everyone (except police, apparently), very on theme, definitely replayable (I couldn't best 120,000 ish, and most were far below that). And I can't say it doesn't feel like a very polished finished game - even if I'm personally not big on the AI, I do like the voice lines with the music (very arcadey).
Out in the open, waves of horny aliens, sexy buff lady armed with a dildo, alien jizz flying everywhere, multiple animations, unlockable gallery, simple satisfying gameplay, all in one highly polished game. My only critisism preference would've been to have some pumping music, to get me even more amped.
I will trust that the answers are out in the open, there's no zoom and I couldn't read anything that helped me. As a non-american who doesn't love america, I had to save-scum to avoid losing points, which seemed to be a bit inconsistantly applied, but then halfway through wrong answers stopped losing me points at all? So I got to see all the sex scenes, which left me more confused and slightly scared than horny.
I do like the visual style, but somewhat lacking in many things. Is there meant to be a sister? I just had the one nude woman defending an invunrable house against an infinte wave on enemies that mostly queued up single file to attack (I did like that eventually they spawn on top of each other and start walking on top of each others heads, too). Boo hiss to getting hit once and then stun-locked, though, as they start their attack before I can recover.
Interesting idea, but you only have the one type of each upgrade, and food and water continously spawn resources all the time, so bascially once you have one lust upgeade there's no incentive to make any more, and (I think) you can fill the meters past "full", coz I wolfed down a whole heap of fruit and water and then those two didn't go down for aaaages.
But... nudity in a wide open space you can't escape from., and squirting on a wooden horse. Thumbs up. I feel like unsupported tiddies that big should have more jiggle, though.
There is jump, but I don't think it's has any real impact on the game, likewise I'm not sure moving backwards and forwards helps, as velocity is noramlised so not a sneaky speed boost technique... hey, I would probably do much worse with 4 hours, but I can't rate it highly for a week long jam just coz of that.
Dem thighs, tho.
Thanks! When I first tried uploading a version in prep for not getting any more done before the deadline, a lot of it was in the description below the game, then being able to write in dialogue was one of the last bits I got working (other than sound and music), so then it seemed much funnier to have the eye explain it all in game.
I'd hoped to at least give them low-poly haircuts, preferably with physics, but I quite liked the low-poly low-detail look, in the end, at least once I found the grow-and-cull-front-faces setting in Godot.
Maybe one day, when I'm much more experienced, and have a better understanding of how to actually structure a game, do a dialogue system, and have a small library of lewd animations already under my belt, I'll remember my first (submitted) game jam game and be like "oh yeah, I could sort that all out easily, in like no time" but for now it is what it is. That said, I just got the mixamo control rig in blender, so now custom animations actually seem plausible, suddenly!
