A bit light on gameable material, balanced by such heavy inks. This is a visual feast, and it is damned impressive to have gotten this fully made in under 24 hours! I think any GM could run this easily with just a lil added effort. Great job!

I love love love how you used your title as a support for the medium and vice-versa. This is such an outstanding, well balanced entry. There’s gorgeous art, a hook and enough descriptions to let imagination do the rest. I can see this used both as a solo or a one-shot session.

Thanks so much! I was really lucky to get an ink related title, since I love drawing with pen and ink =).

This is a masterpiece! Wow!

Incredible way to lay it all out, you've got me wanting to try this one-page format next time. Awesome job!

6/5 visual design! Love your art and the overall design/vibe of this. Well done!

This is peak visual design! I was skeptical because of the relatively sparse text, but the module delivers! The dungeon is great, the overall vibe is as creepy as the title promises, and the Scrabbler ist awesome.

great artwork and layout work. The writing is believable and you hop in the game!

Outstanding art and layout! Quick and fun read.

Oh man, this rocks. You’ve spoken right to the illustrator in me. And how you integrated your medium with the theme! I admire your creativity; you ought to be proud of this (and from your page, you said this was last-minute? That must have been a blessed minute!).

Out of curiosity, what all media did you use for this? I see pen & inkwash, obviously, but then maybe some whiteout pen on… I’m gonna guess not watercolor paper, because the grain seems too fine to me, but please correct me if I’m wrong!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes, I used dip pens and a little bit of brush with india ink on bristol board. I do normally like using whiteout pens, but for this I used Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof White, which is super opaque and you can thin it to use with a dip pen.

I’m positively speechless! I printed a lot of jam zines and folded them up. I guess that led me to experience this as intended:

The intriguing cover, that text on the back. Thinking: “Huh, they’ve used two whole pages already?” Opening the zine and—BOOM.

It’s so great!

I get massive Ron Gilbert vibes. A bit of Monkey Island, but a lot of The Cave. I read the back text in Stephen Stanton’s voice. :-D

Here, take my stars.

Thanks so much!! Yes, I absolutely designed this for print, I made it completely by drawing/writing on paper. Nice to get away from the screens for a bit. I wasn't familiar with The Cave so I looked it up, that narrator voice is truly excellent =D.

I love it.  This is a great zine.  I love the visual story telling. One of my favorites. Great job!

Jamie is really good at letting the art do the storytelling and this project is no exception. Really sneaky (/positive) way of combining map, character sheet and room descriptions into one spread that somehow is both functional as rules and instructions to us players while also presenting as a diegetic object, the mad scribblings and doodles of the person destined to go investigate this ink-stained coffin.

Really great stuff! Such a great marriage of design and theme. It’s so gameable despite the lack of text I’d normally expect.

It seems to expect to be played solo, but I feel like it would work with a group. I do think if I wasn’t familiar with cairn I’d be a little lost as to how to play this mechanically. You might benefit from a “compatible with cairn” or “mark of the odd” disclaimer so people can look up mechanics easily.

Such a standout with the ink visual design! I love the amount of art in here! Super creative, I really like the image of the scribbler. Great dungeon! ✒️

Oooo how catchy~! The visual is strong and delivers the mood clearly! I love how the writing is simple but on point.

Oo this one's really cool! I love the map and illustrations, super creepy vibes. Might give this a whirl solo later, great simple oracle there too

Developer

Thanks!! Please let me know how it goes if you do!! I tried playing through it solo yesterday and had a really good time. I'm trying to get the hang of solo rpg-ing, but I found myself surprised by what unfolded even though I had full information =D.
