Nice game, looks very polished.
I lost pretty quickly, though! 🤣 🤣
What an impressive game. At first it is a bit overwhelming, but when you get the hang on it, it is really fun! I like this kind of strategical thinking. Also the game is very polished and the UI and character art is amazing. Very good job!
Interesting game, though a bit confusing. For example, there was a moment when an opponent said 2 circles, there were in fact 4, called him a liar, but somehow I was the one who lost a shape. I thought you have to say the exact amount of shapes, or maybe I misunderstood the rules.
THanks for playing. It's not exact number, but minimum amount.
This was fun! However, I don't think I really understand how losing a shape works. When you bet a number of shapes, are you guessing how many of that shape there are total between the two players, or if both players have at least that number of that shape? Other than that, I really liked the art style and I think the music fit too :D
Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it. so the thing about losing a shape is If player call opponent liar and opponent's bet is true then player will lose a shape and if opponent calls you liar and if your bet is right then opponent will lose a shape and vice versa. hope you will get it now. it's written in game How to play as well.
Thanks again. <3
This is such a cool game, I immediately recognized on discord the inspiration from pirates of the caribean game. I found Rex to be quite easy to beat. If you have something more than normal, you can just tell your count and he will think it's a bluff. A tad bit hard if you have all shapes, but enemy have 2 shapes. Then you have to say a shape x 3, but it's reeeeeeally rigged at that point. But I guess it gives some way of comeback mechanism.
I'm really glad that you enjoyed the game. Once you understand it it becomes quite easy to beat. But still the charm is that no two matches are same. Thanks for playing.
At first was a bit confused but then I got into it. This feels like a really finished and thought-out submission.
Was kinda hard to understand the first few rounds, but when i got the hang of it i won a few games. I really enjoyed playing, keep it up!!
Fun game! My only piece of criticism is that the sound design is a bit bland
Alright, it took me playing a round to understand what exactly are the rules, but after that I did beat both medium and hard first try. Overall I think it was pretty good, though I have some points:
- The UI is really blank, there just isn't any central theme for it, it feels generic which doesn't mesh well when the game focuses so heavily on it.
- The color scheme could go for a change, there is a lot of different bright colors, generally I wouldn't go over 2 or 3, plus black and white, otherwise it doesn't feel right especially since you aren't using any color harmonies.
- Gameplay wise it feels a bit too random, I feel like the player has too little effect on the outcome, unless you're making a horror game you should try to give people as much choices as you can. But here it did bottle down to just placing a bet (which quickly became limiting after the first one) and then either calling a lie or not, based on, very limited information. Kind of felt trying to predict a random number generator, while knowing the range, rather than solving a puzzle.
- In terms of QoL, it would be nice to have a fold or give up button, so you can reset the game where you don't think you have a chance anymore, to speed up the gameplay. Also the animations could be a bit faster and the shape selection could show every one to make it a bit easier to pick.
- The music has a bit too much progression for a base track, generally you want less changes in the: key, instruments, and melody; if you're planning on repeating the music a lot.
But other than that, it was nice. It felt finished, which is something I can't say for every game in the jam.
Really enjoyed the art and how the gameplay dynamic tips in your favor as you start winning!
I really enjoyed the quantity guessing tabletop mechanics. The dialogue interactions when NPC make their guesses add a lot to the experience, and the hand-drawn art style is very heartwarming.
this game was fun and simple to play even tho i only beat easy lmao (i dont trust my instincts).
It took me a few tries to understand the mechanics but it was super fun and kind of addicting! ><
Awesome game! Super cozy :)
I loved the theme, simple yet effective, great design <3
It's a super simple but good game. I won against easy and medium. Tho I must say I was lucky...
The art was very nice and relaxing music fits well with the idea. Well done !!
I found your game browsing in the Jam's Topics, but I think I found one of my favourite games! It's really similar to a card game I used to play in highshool with some friends so I was literally EATEN ALIVE by your game, I've been playing for 10 minutes not gonna lie ^^
The UI is minimal but really effective, that's a great result for just one person! Good luck <3
Heres a tip for Rex, his weakness is pentagons! Great idea, very well polished, gg
Thanks for playing. Hopefully your tip will help other players. gg
Fun game :) kind of remind me of cheat https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheat_(game)
Thanks for playing. it's losely based on the game Liar's dice, as on Pirates of the Caribbean.
Wow!! what an interesting take on the theme, love the easy gameplay loop!
