How does the game fit the theme?
Monkey Daycare is an observation and strategy game where you manage enclosures full of mischievous monkeys. Unfortunately, these monkeys do not behave.
They steal supplies, start fights and sabotage the daycare constantly, and every monkey has a different level of trustworthiness.
When an incident occurs, you must study their accusations, remember their behaviour and decide who is telling the truth.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The game was made in Unity and uses TextMesh Pro, and third-party fonts. All game-specific programming, artwork, animation, music and sound effects were created by the team during the jam.

I must be a good daycare worker I put everyone in a timeout box but they still committed trouble. but I only got 1 wrong
The artstyle is incredibly charming!! I didn't really understand what caused the trust to go down or up, but I enjoyed managing the monkeys regardless
Very fun game! after some time it got kind of repetitive so i wish after x ammount of levels there was a new thing to watch out for or another distraction, but overall love the game! amazing visuals.
I really love this game — it just has this simple, joyful feeling. Right now, I've forgotten all my worries and I'm off exploring the primitive forest on a tropical island, playing with the monkeys!
What a fun game! At first it was a little bit difficult, but when you knew how to do the things around, its a pretty good game!

The polish on the game is top-notch! Overall very well done, it was the visuals that stood out to me especially though, its so cute and silly and so well animated!
I was told to only give negative feedback, so here it is:
1. the intro music is not my favourite song within the game (I couldn't think of anything else in music)
2. the art style is simple (not at all saying it's bad, just a very efficient use of time, and works really well, and looks great!!! you don't need high detail for high quality)
3. it's quite hard to guess who did it! (I'm presuming it's half the point, and it's a fun challenge!)
4. itch CAPTCHAs are annoying.

I liked this monkey game
Monkey see monkey game, monkey play game. This game is a certified gem, best of the game jam so far for me, the gameplay is simple and intuitive, the game has a crazy amount of polish, everything goes so well together, the ui the animations the music etc etc, Loved this! (the monkey in the main menu be spittin mad lyrics)

I like how to take social interactions and turn it into gameplay which I could not think of, I had thought about making some sort of games like "The Mafia" or "Amongus" but all I can think of is making it a multiplayer game. Your game made me realized that this idea works too! A well made game!

I'm a simple man. I see monkeys. I play game about monkeys. This was nice! I liked how quick each round went. It was easy to pick up and follow what to do. My only complaint is that the main menu song was... so loud, lol. Thankfully you had sliders for that! Good job!
Ahaha thank you! Wash looks really fun too. A friend in my studio was playing it the other day and it looked great. I need to play it tomorrow.

Haha, on one hand I was like "MY EARS" But then... when I turned it down, loved the incorporation of monkey sounds into the theme song for sure, so it made up for that :D
